I've recently been watching "Mystery Incorporated", and I got the interesting impression from it, namely that Velma likes to CREATE mysteries just as much as she likes to solve them. This is the most noticeable in "The Night when the Clown Cried" when she dresses up as a mysterious masked figure to get the gang back together, and amuses herself at Fred's expense a bit until he guesses her identity. Of course, this is Velma from a new canon, but the original Velma did things like this sometimes as well: for instance, she dressed up as the ghost of Cleopatra in "Where's my mummy?": So I wonder whether Velma has some "trickster" side to her character, for me it seems like she really enjoys baffling people and being "on the other side of the mask" as long as it's for a noble purpose. IMO, it could be an interesting plot element for a Shaggy/Velma romance story, like an animated movie or a fanfic. What do you think?

He and Scooby typically channel Bugs Bunny in their efforts to evade to evade the guys in the monster suits. Velma simply prefers to keep others at arms length until the culprit is unmasked for the same reasons Batman does.

Velma would fit in quite well.

Batman would also have absolutely zero problems with Velma if they joined. Well he might have one problem...sarcasm about not having sunlight anywhere in Gotham.

Shaggy would probably get along better with the Flash. Fred would get along well with Hal Jordan, and Daphne would befriend Lois Lane and Maybe even Catwoman, meanwhile her parents would be former legitimate business associates of Lex Luthor who canceled all contracts with Lexcorp after learning about Luthor's true colors.
