Surprised there isn't one here yet, so I'll start.
Shaggy pulling the fire alarm and calling out "Fire drill!" was amusing, even if they just used a school bell-like alarm; very few schools in the USA use bells as fire alarms nowadays, as many have replaced them with the modern electronic horn/strobe units. I also noticed a red light coming on when the bell started ringing; I guess their fire alarm system is so old it uses incandescent signal lights instead of modern strobes (I know one of my schools did, but it had buzzer-like horns instead of bells.) Hopefully they didn't get in trouble with the fire department for doing that!
It did use a few more H-B sound effects than "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo," but it still sounded more like an episode of "The Fairly Oddparents" instead of a Hanna-Barbera cartoon, complete with one of those overused 1990s stock thunder effects (again, I don't think Advantage Audio really knows how a Scooby-Doo cartoon should sound.)
Overall, not that bad a start, but it still gave me these "Night of the Living Doo" vibes.

There were certainly things I like about it, especially the soundtrack. The guest star didn't steal the gang's spotlight, though I felt overall it felt more like a romp than an actual mystery. Gang didn't even really speak to the suspects. Hopefully the guests don't take focus away from the mystery.

Animation looks incredibly good. I really really like it, as well as the character designs. Soundtrack is also great, I really like the background music and all the sound effects. sound better than usual. The plot was dreadfully bad. Painfully boring start with not that much interaction amongst the gang or with the suspects. I like the more serious tone but there were such short dialogues that left the worst silences in between. Let's see how this builds up.

I just finished watching the first episode of Guess Who?, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The episode definitely goes back to the roots of classic Scooby, even down to the retro feel of the background music and sound effects at times.
Chris Paul seemed like a good guest star, and the vibe of this episode sort of reminded me of the Wilt Chamberlain (another basketball player) episode from Goober and the Ghost Chasers. Paul didn't overshadow the gang at all.
There were definitely some good bits in there, like the classic Shaggy/Scooby trick the monster gag, the Scooby Dooby Doors sequence among other humorous things such as Chris Paul not being able to get the ball in the hole at the end.
I didn't really like the intro though. It felt like too much of a rip-off of the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? theme song (it's even credited as such in the end credits). I don't mind them trying to reference the classic theme song, but I would have preferred something original.
Though this was a small criticism, the bit at the end bugged me where the announcer said the cops recovered all the missing people. This was within like a few moments of gang capturing the swamp monster, and some of those people were just captured minutes before. I definitely get that they were trying to wrap things up, but the whole "Everyone captured by the swamp monster was found by the police, somehow within 5 seconds of the culprit being arrested!" felt a bit cringey. It seems like they were trying to cram everything in too quickly at the end.
I also agree with what people have said on here about not much interaction with suspects. The culprit was also very easy to guess.
Other than these minor criticisms, I'm really loving the new series and I'm definitely looking forward to next week's episode!

This is the closest any modern Scooby product has gotten to feeling like 70s Scooby though unfortunately that comes with a lot of the blandness that 70s Scooby is often criticized for.
This episode most reminded me of The Spirited Spook Sports Show in terms of its tone and set-up.
Fred, Daphne, and Velma were very much like their 70s counterparts.
There were only two gags that didn't feel very HB were Scooby hosting the tournament and the running gag being Shaggy and CP. The payoff to the latter was super weak and I felt it would've been funnier to leave their backstory to audience interpretation.
I don't really know what to expect from the rest of the series, and it could go into boring What's New territory very fast, but I am intrigued.

I really loved it! I like the opening, theme song, animation, classic Scooby gags, foodie moments, and when Scooby did the Fred Flintstone thing when he was bowling.

The episode definitely goes back to the roots of classic Scooby, even down to the retro feel of the background music and sound effects at times. Yeah, except the vehicle, water and thunder effects were too new-sounding (especially that one stock thunderclap sound that's been used SO MUCH since the 90s.) Even the golfball hit sounds were more newer and "realistic." But like I said, I don't think Advantage Audio really knows how an old Hanna-Barbera cartoon really sounds like...

I thought it was...Okay. I will definitely give it a chance in future episodes, But I just didn't enjoy this one as I thought I would. I guess I'll list my pros and cons?
Pros: - The remixed intro. I LOVED that we get a remix of the classic theme song, I hope there is a "full" version of this.(I especially loved the drums at the start.)
-I like how it tried to capture the feel and look of the 70s series, the classic sound effects were also a plus. I also an glad they kept the gangs unique run cycles. Most recent series sort of skimp on Scooby's "swim" run cycle(is there a name for that? XD)
- Scooby's silly interactions with the wildlife/critters is a pleasant gag so see again.
-It did seem to follow all the tropes of the franchise..Almost too exactly...but I will go into this in the cons...
And unfortunately that was all for my pros
Cons: -I could be wrong but, I felt that it played it way too safe? Like..it didn't seem to bring much new to the formula rather than guest stars(Maybe playing it this safe due to backlash of how different BCSD was?)Most Scooby Doo series have small traces of horror/monster being a "real threat" strewn about but..I felt this episode lacked that almost entirely.
-Going off of the last one it came off as rather bland and slow for me...The pacing felt off I guess..but that's just my opinion.
-The music was..okay at first bit again, when the monster was around it was a bit too "upbeat" if you know what I mean. Nearly all previous shows had more "scary/danger" type music for chases and then when we did get a chase scene(If that was what that was supposed to be, I could be wrong), it was that upbeat/goofy and out of place jazzy BGM rather than a lyrical song or something more intense or fitting.
-Fed,Daphne,and Velma, did feel a bit passive and like their older versions...they felt "back seated" almost..but then again I COULD be spoiled by their portrayals in previous shows, so take that with a grain of salt...
-The jokes felt like it was trying to capture Be Cools humor almost (again take as a grain of salt..) But it was sort of hit or miss with me..This made the tone a bit off as I was watching...The monster design also felt a LITTLE out of place when everything else looks more on model with 70s SDAY/NSDM inspired art style.
--------- But again, these are just opinions and I am definitely excited for the new episodes, I just feel this one could have been better. Other than that I am looking forward to the Weird Al , Wanda Sykes, and Rickey Gervais episodes (the latter because the monster looks rather interesting.) I will give it a rewatch soon and try to view it in a different light from the last incarnation of our favorite great dane.

I give it a B+. The episode did a really good job of capturing Classic Scooby, down the animation, gags, and theme song. Though I found the theme to be too short. The plot was forgettable. It was you by the book Scooby-Doo mystery. I knew the culprit the moment they showed up. Chris Paul is...fine. I'm not a sports guy do I don't have much to say about him. That stuck out to me too. Like how did they find them so quickly?😂

Was able to catch the episode and feel like it was a pretty decent start to the show. The Theme song was kinda "meh". It seems like we get a remix of the classic Scooby-Doo Where Are You theme every year. I do appreciate the fact that there are vocals with this one. The last two shows lacked vocals on their theme songs which kinda ruin it for me. The characters looked great and really have that 70s Scoob vibe. Chris Paul was an alright guest star. More of an NFL guy than NBA, but lucky for me I have heard of him. His interactions with Shaggy were hilarious and put a smile on my face.
One major issue I had was the treatment of Velma, Fred, and Daphne. They really seemed to take a backseat role in this episode and this is something that could be a major issue for this series. It seemed like they had very little interactions, especially Daphne who I think got it the worst. It also seemed like everything was rushed to finish everything in 22 minutes, though this could be me just use to the New Scooby-Doo Movies. The monster was also not very threatening or spooky.
Overall, a decent start to the show. Definitely reminds me of a more tamed version of Be Cool mixed with the more silly parts of 70s Scooby.

I was thrilled to see that they went back to the original animation and the episode had the feel of the original Scooby, but I didn’t think the writing was great. I hope the rest of the episodes are better! This review from Cartoon Hangout is perfect - youtu.be/RnPKYIHLaS8

I liked it, but I have three major criticisms:
- the theme song. No. Just no. It's bad enough that Scooby and Scrappy, plus The New Scooby and Scrappy basically stole the The New Scooby Doo Movies theme for their own and had it mashed up with Thriller for The New Scooby Doo Mysteries. I did not need Guess Who literally copying the original theme but with new lyrics. It's tacky as all heck.
- the actual mystery. The culprit was extremely obvious. They had the caddy in the cold open AND they had him return briefly to speak to Shaggy, of course he was going to be the villain. However, he wasn't a suspect, no clues pointed towards him, and then the reveal that he was in night school studying to be a land surveyor is pretty much pointless because we didn't see Velma find this discovery.
- the episode length. Where the original The New Scooby-Doo Movies would've definitely benefitted from a shorter runtime, I think Scooby-Doo and Guess Who desperately needed more time. We barely got any of the gang interacting with each other, not one single suspect was spoken to, and it just felt way too compressed.
Hopefully future episodes do more to fix those last two critiques, but unfortunately I doubt they'll do anything about the theme song. Anyways, I really loved this episode, it did a great job at establishing the characters, the formula and the premise of guest stars. Unfortunately, as an actual mystery, the case of the Swamp Monster left a LOT to be desired.

I totally agree with elemage's criticisms. In my opinion the episode should've last at least 30 minutes. The intro was also a bit underwhelming to say the least. Also the idea of the gang flying from San Francisco to Florida in the Mystery Machine hanging under a helicopter was ridiculous, but it was funny, I guess...
Despite of these flaws, the episode was pretty entertaining. The animation was very good for a TV show, the return to the old character designs was sweet and it seems that good old Velma is back. Chris Paul could be even a cool fictional character, he was implemented very well. The mystery was not great but not terrible...
Anyway, the whole thing was pretty decent and I hope that the rest of the series won't be worse than this.

Overall, I liked the episode. It's nice seeing a return to more classic designs for the characters (even if I liked some of the more drastic changes they went through in the previous shows, as well). The guest-star gimmick is kinda cool, I was wondering how a modernized version of The New Scooby Movies would look like.
I don't know a thing about Chris Paul but whatever. I am sure there will be more guest-stars I am not familiar with during the show's run. To be fair there were a number of guests I didn't recognize on the original series, too. I was kinda expecting them to focus more on basketball given the guest here, but it was kinda funny how many sports they alluded to in the episode.
The mystery was fine, I guess. I liked the monster design but the way it was set up could have been better. As others said, there weren't really any interactions between the gang and any of the other suspects. The caddy being the monster was kind of predictable after his little talk with Shaggy.
But all things considered, I liked this and am interested in seeing more from the show.
