I suspect “Return to Zombie Island” will be released in Spetember, but do you think there’ll be anything else?
Personally, I would like a proper release of the series on DVD, (like a complete series set for each show, or perhaps a collection of the 1969-84 episodes). I suffer with the limited Region 2 releases, so I would really appreciate a proper “Complete Series” release. Personally I’m expecting a pre-Zombie Island series collection, a What’s New Scooby Doo? collection (featuring the WNSD films, and possibly coupled with APNSD) and a “Complete series” release for each of the post-WNSD series (I really want Mystery Inc.). Probably some DTV compilations as well. I can’t see a collection of everything, but two or three “era” box sets would be incredible.
What would you like/realistically expect for September?

I want to see Joe Ruby and Ken Spears involved with the 50th Anniversary in some capacity. Maybe they could write a new script or give a new interview or something. The franchise has pretty much ignored them for the longest time (they still haven't been given a "created by" credit on any new Scooby stuff).
I also would ideally like to see a new short that homages all of the various incarnations. Something like this:

I don't think they'll be able to release a full pre-Zombie Island set, because we still have those 9 episodes from The New Scooby-Doo Movies that can't be released due to contract issues. I do hope, however, that we'll get at the very least another full season set, maybe like The Scooby-Doo Show season 2 or Laff-a-Lympics season 2. Or The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries? I miss the days of them releasing the season sets. I'd also love to see a full series marathon run on Cartoon Network or Boomerang on the month/week on the 50th anniversary.

It's not a realistic goal, but a small part of me hopes and prays Warner will finally acknowledge fan demands and release the classic Ted Nichols underscore, in at least some capacity. It doesn't even have to be a physical release. People would shell out for both lossy and lossless digital formats on platforms like Spotify and iTunes.
I also hope at least a handful more of New Movies episodes can have their video rights cleared.
I would also like to see at least WAY! given a proper complete series Blu-Ray treatment with extras and everything. It's sorely deserving of such and the time has never been more right.

I'm hoping they'll release the rest of the older DTV movies on blu-ray mainly Zombie Island, Witches Ghost and Alien Invaders.
I'm also hoping we get a release of something like snack tracks but with the unreleased songs and themes from the modern movies and shows.
It would also be cool if they made a 2020 calendar with a different incarnation from the franchise representing each month.

It doesn't even have to be a physical release. THIS. I've been wanting a modern remake of the Ted Nichols WAY theme as the intro song for a future film/series. For so long I've held the opinion that while the well-known WAY theme will always be beloved and is Scooby-Doo's theme, TN's theme IS Mystery Inc.'s (as a group) theme and should be established as such in the same way that other well-known TV detectives have that theme music distinction (i.e. Castle, Horatio Caine from CSI Miami, Perry Mason, Kojak, Starsky & Hutch, etc.)

With the coming of Return to Zombie Island, there is no excuse to hold off finally remastering the last animated Scooby materials still shot on cels/35mm. They're only 70 minute movies. They could all easily fit with reasonable bitrates on one BD50 disc. Only thing I can think of that's probably holding up the remastering are the titles and credits, and possibly a few digital effects in Alien Invaders.

The last time we even heard it referenced was in Mystery Inc. season 1 like what, nine years ago now? That was Scooby's main theme, aside from the Nichols underscore, for almost fourteen years!

I'm glad you asked Grin! It's a recreation I made in photoshop. I cut out the logo from the picture of the new Clue game that was unveiled last week, unfortunately the image wasn't hi-res so I had to trace over it and brighten up the colours. To me it seemed a little laking without Scooby so I took the character art from the "Scooby goes Hollywood" cover and layered it underneath and just above. When we get the hi-res version of the logo I will update it. The actual file is big. Feel free to use it!

I suspect we will get no sort of official commemoration. Even if WB makes some sort of big movie this year like Return to Zombie Island, I have doubts they will recognize it is in honor of the anniversary.

Well DC is putting a 50th banner on teamup books and i presume this year's dtvs are 50th year celebrations. Maybe Guess Who will premiere at 10:30 AM EST on Sept. 13 on the streaming service to commemorate the 50th in the most accurate way possible?

Whether or not there will be an official branding of the 50th across everything, is a question not even the nerdiest of us can answer. WB branding isn't always consistent on every day basis, let alone anniversaries. But there will totally be some stuff made with it in mind, whether it officially promotes it is a whole other kettle of fish.
