We all love Scooby Doo I just want to know what are all the reasons we love Scooby. It's hard to find young adults, and adults who are obsessed with Scooby as I am. Attachments:

My top 5 Reasons
5: I love doggies 4: Mysteries are fun 3: It's been around so long there is a lot to it so you'll have trouble running out of Scooby stuff because after you finish it all you can rewatch some and not compleatly remember it. 2: There are 4 diverse characters 5 if you count Scooby, that you can't help but relate to at least one of them. 1: It is so entertaining yet so innocent you don't have to change the channel because your kid or baby sibling comes in, the only thing you might have to worry about is that it may be too scary for them. You don't have to worry about them learning naughty lauguage or sexual content. And yet it's not so 'dumbed' down that you loose your mind after watching a few episodes like a lot of preschool shows.

I think what attracted me were the mysteries with a supernatural element.
And not to mention Scooby is such a lovable character ;D

Well, I guess I fall into the adult category. The thing I always think of for why Scooby became and has remained so popular is that it has such a good mix of everything, you can enjoy it from a variety of angles. The mix of drama and comedy especially. It has a good plot element with mystery, suspense and spooky 'supernatural' villains, but also a comedic humorous side, and both somehow manage to effectively run at the same time throughout most of an episode without compromising each other. It's not a straight-up drama cartoon with a little dry humor thrown in like say Jonny Quest or Clone Wars, nor is it a slapstick comedy with a minimal story that only serves as a vehicle for laughs like say Bugs Bunny or Total Drama Island. It mixes both really well. In fact from reading various posts and talking to people you can tell that some would call Scooby-Doo a mystery series with more humor, while others would classify it as a comedy with more story and action. And each would be right. Both viewers who lean towards drama and those who prefer comedy can enjoy the show, and of course most watch it for a little of both. And the cool thing is that you can tweak the mix back and forth to create variations on the overall 'Scooby' theme I guess you could call it. I think that's why there have been so many Scooby series', and they have all worked for the most part, only in different ways. That's one reason why the show never gets boring I think too. As Spankydoo mentioned too, the mix of main characters has always been good as well. They each bring different elements to the mix, and are just 'real' enough to relate to a little. And most other cartoons I can think of that have a similar mix have been Scooby clones! Mark

I have always loved cartoons with talking animals. I love disney movies and still do. When i was six, there was just about so silly and cute about Scooby-Doo that I loved. I have been such a loyal fan since. I mean, come on, I`m 18 almost 19 and I still collect scooby stuff and watch the show all the time. I love scooby doo so much I am even talking with breeders about getting a great dane(to be honest, the breed is really awesome. Suits my lifestyle perfectly. Do your research and check this amazing breed out.) I love the humour, love the characters, the storylines, everything about Scooby-Doo is awesome. Will always be a loyal fan.

I'm not sure about my early years but when you find out that your best friend in the world is having a boy, it's hard to find something thats youthful and innocent but won't lable him gay or teach him things he's not ready for AND that I can watch over and over.
After collecting a ton of Scooby movies so I could be the fun aunt I fell in love with him, and went from watching Scooby because it's on to watching TV because Scooby's on...
There's something about Scooby that makes me stop worring about Calculus and Orgainic chemistry, and just enjoy the sillyness for a bit. It makes me smile even when I'm off my happy pills.

I have watched Scooby since I was a kid, and loved him so much. I wished he was real so he could be my dog. As I got older, I still enjoyed watching Scooby without thinking that it was a baby show. Now, as an adult, I still love Scooby. I love that I can watch it with my kids without worrying that they will learn bad things (SpongeBob is notorious for teaching my kids many bad things!) and that we can all enjoy the show without feeling like it's too babyish or just another annoying kids show. I love that the characters each have their own personalities, which they have for the most part maintained through each series. There have been some slight changes, but I don't think anything has changed too drastically. I love that it gets my kids thinking throughout the episodes who the villain could be and they watch so intently to try to find the clues on their own. I love the whole concept of Scooby!!

Im in my late teens now and have been a scooby fan scince i was twelve and as ive gotten older my love for the show has grown too. I used to get critisized for my love of the show getting acused of being "too old" for it by people over 60, and i always thought it was weird how that worked out people aged between 2 and 10 and 30 and 60 were very supportive but the others were obsessed with shooting down what made me happy and that was starting to make an impression so i started to hide it from the people who didnt already know, my rooms are plastered with scooby stuff and i love it all but the mockery was getting a bit much so i turned into a semi closet fan, I later discovered that theres a zillion older people that love scooby doo (and simular cartoons) but gave up their love for their cartoon to avoid discrimination, im now a full on fan again, i met a 45 year old lady who was a die hard fan with a huge collection and a normal life and that resored my faith in everything so to speak. sorry i got a tad off topic but i just found this site and now I feel all warm and fuzzy knowing theres more older fans of this awesome show than i ever could have dreamed of, i showed it to my mum and it made her realise im not totally alone, one less peson to mock me now LONG LIVE SCOOBY DOO!

There has been many resons I loved Scooby over my almost 15 years. When I first saw it (i was around 2 or 3) my mum said I was like "AWWW a talky dog i want" so thats how my love started. And then as I grew older. It was for the comedy and for my crush on Fred (which you all know I still have) and then I started loving it for the mystery, and now its the romance and how it can relate to me, and still the comedy. I guess as I grow up I start to love the more mature things about Scooby and the gang. But I will always be that little girl that loves it for the talking doggy.

Alas, after Scrappy arrived, I started to stray away from SD for awhile. Loved SDWAY?, and I was too young when I loved NSDM to understand that it was mostly ridiculous, save for a team up with Batman, the Globetrotters, Speed Buggy, or Josie and the thingycats (they were the "other" really good toons at the time to me). When WNSD arrived, I started to get interested again, and I really like it now with SD:MI.

When I first saw Scrappy I actually liked him. I was four n I was still thinking "AWWWW a talky dog I want" so I loved him. But I quickly started to not like him.
