I agree with what you said about keeping Fred, Velma, and Daphne out of the sequels because with them their it would definitely have a different vibe from the 80s film and i feel Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy would interact differently with them being their. Also it seems like Scooby Doo is gonna stick to comedy for a little bit more. With all the Scooby movies we keep getting lately being more goofy and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who probably going to be a light-hearted series it seems we have a few mores years before getting anything a little more darker in tone. Now another questions is their any characters from the 80s film you would like to see get more charatcer development and any character you would like to see not be in the sequels?

I would love to see Sybella get more character development. She's probably the most interesting (IMO) of the '80s characters and I would love to see her have a more developed role in a potential sequel. And I'm not sure about more character development with this one, but I would love to see Billy Bob from Boo Brothers again. He was pretty hilarious lol. As for any characters I wouldn't want in the sequels, I would say maybe Googie? I did like her a lot as a character, but she was a bit two-dimensional and not super necessary to the plot of Reluctant Werewolf. However, given that Reluctant Werewolf ended on a cliffhanger, I think it would probably be jarring for viewers not to see Googie suddenly in the second part, so in hindsight she should probably be kept. What are your thoughts?

What are your thoughts? I agree 100% with Sybella getting more character development just because she was my favorite out of the ghouls. Also being the leader of the group I think she should get a bigger role in a sequel. Now personally I would have Googie get a lot more character development because I enjoyed her character a lot in Reluctant Werewolf, though I agree with you saying she was not super necessary to the plot. Looking back at it she was really a clone of Daphne from the 80s series. Give her some unique traits and also give her something to do beside getting Shaggy to keep racing and I think she would be a much better character. For someone I wouldn't want to return in a sequel would be the Calloway Cadets. I always found them annoying and not very interesting, so I wouldn't mind them being removed in potential sequels.

Well not every cadet was a pain especially when only one actually appears to be a true soldier. Sure i'd like to see the ghouls get more development, but not all cadets were frustraiting. ..and yes i'm talking about Baxter.

Agreed, Sybella is a fang-tastic character! I also have always felt Googie was, for the most part, a Daphne clone and the rest of her personality was sort of just building off Scrappy's "bravery" trait. I wouldn't mind seeing her again if they developed her character more, though I'm not sure there would be much for her to do in a sequel if her character was unchanged. The Cadets are just "meh" for me, I don't hate them but they're not amazing characters either. Arguably I would say they need to be developed a bit more as well, without changing the characters too much as to change the tone/dynamic of the film.

You know just talking about this makes me hope that WB decided to create sequels to these 80s films Would be one of the happiest moment of my life, lol. Agreed about Googie is left unchanged i fell people will react negatively to her character and WB would remove her character and pretend she never existed. With the Calloway Cadets, i would just keep them out of the film. Give an explanation of where they went and be done with it. I feel like if they were kept in they would still be underdeveloped because the story already has too many characters and the writers would probably spend more time on Shaggy, Scooby, Scrappy, and the Ghouls.

It would be the happiest moment of my Scooby fandom life at the very least, haha. I somewhat agree about the Calloway Cadets, though to be honest I'm indifferent if they're in the film or not. But I definitely can relate to your core point, that the Calloway Cadets took valuable story time away from Shaggy, Scooby, Scrappy and the girl ghouls. No idea really if the general fanbase likes them or not, but I suppose they could just have the Cadets make a brief cameo in a potential sequel and make everyone happy.
