People are going on about appealing to the newer generation.... ok, I get that. But I also think we need to understand that a significant part of the SD fanbase is made up of us "oldies" as well, it'd be nice if some thought went into some celebrities that might be just a little bit older than the Justin Biebers, pewdiepies, and "cash me ousside" girls of the last few years. Aww, you don't want "Scooby-Doo Meets Cash Me Ousside Girl"? haha I'm kidding, but I totally get where you're coming from. I don't want anything like "Scooby-Doo Meets Justin Bieber" either. I would say it's important to have at least somewhat of a balance as well, such as picking stars like KISS and Weird Al Yankovic (I don't want KISS again, but just using it as an example) that both the newer and older generation would recognize, at least somewhat. Or providing a nice mix of guest stars, let's say utilizing Bill Nye which the older generation would know in one episode, and then someone newer in the next episode. And by newer, I agree it should be someone who has achieved at least a moderate level of fame, not someone who just achieved popularity by coming out with a viral video a few months ago. As an idea, one of the guest stars could be one of the gang's live action portrayers who has become famous since the films came out. For example, you could have Sarah Michelle Gellar or Hayley Kiyoko guest star in an episode, which would make for a few possibly amusing "breaking the fourth wall" jokes. That would only work/be funny for one episode, but I guess it's an idea.

I WIIIISH they had Danielle Bregoli aka cash me ousside aka Bhad Bhabie. Shes so talented yall underestimate her. But yeah, way too explicit for Scooby. However I think they're gonna go for old gen stars unfortunately. It wont appeal to me because they will just be unknown to me and the thrill factor will be replaced by the "no big deal"

I mean for We Bare Bears they had Gallant (new gen R&B singer, still not very famous but soooo dope) and I bet they had similar singers, actors in other Cartoon Network shows. I wish Scooby was as taken seriously as Adventure Time-esque cartoons are. Still in We Bare Bears they had Dia Frampton and Poppy singing songs and that is sooo dope. Or Estelle in Steven Universe.

I think honestly, the only way this series will please both generations is to include semi-current guest stars. People who have been famous for say, 5 or 10+ years already and are at least moderately known among the general population. This is supposedly a reboot of The New Scooby-Doo Movies, and that series included people who were popular at the time, and still had some popularity when the episode was made. For example, The Andy Griffith Show aired in 1966 with Don Knotts, so he was still famous, but the show had ended a few years before he appeared in The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries. Dick Van Dyke, Cass Elliott and Jonathan Winters were all also famous in that late-60's period. I'm guessing they will probably aim for that same thing with this series. This way, they're not alienating the older fans by featuring celebrities who became famous less than a year ago, and they're also not boring the younger generation by featuring our grandparents' favorite radio personality from the 40s. This would be cool to have contemporary singers/actors, but I think we'd run into the issue of most fans (especially adults) not knowing who these people are. I'm sort of mid-way between both generations (I'm in my 20's, so I could go either way), and I have no idea who any of these people are beyond a vague knowledge of who Estelle is. If they were to feature singers, I'd say it would have to be someone more famous among both generations like Adele or Ed Sheeran, for example. They could also then maybe get away with doing someone slightly more new occasionally, like, I don't know, possibly Halsey? That would still fit the bill of being known (at least somewhat) to the older generation, and the newer generation could settle for it being "semi-dope" haha.

I can't think of a single person who I would want to see in the show. I know most of them will be people I've never heard of and will have no reason to go and find out who they are after seeing the show.

Obviously the Hex Girls being the only specific Scooby-designed celebs other than Nivel Poppenbacher should appear. I'd also have the DCAU or Batman: The Brave and the Bold JLA (DCAU cast being...Newburn,Canals-Barrera, Lumbly, Rosenbaum, Rummel, Lamar, Conroy, Bacarrin and Eisenburg, Batb cast being Grey pulling double duty, Bader, Rose, Guest, Tudyk, Lester, DiMaggio and Lawrence) appear too alongside Bill Nye the Science Guy and maybe...Kevin Shinick as Squadron Leader from Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego since he wrote the Kiss Movie and Mad and Carmen herself will be getting a netflix series next year. (Sidenote: say could Velma catch Carmen? Or would they have a conversation about being surrounded by those they considered incompetent?)

Love Carmen Sandiego! Hmm. having the gang catch Carmen would be awesome! You'd have to have someone fill in for Lynne Thigpen as the Chief though ( or just reuse old footage of her, ala Superman Returns)

I'm trying to do my best not to sound like one of those older people (I'm only 34, lol) who instantly dismiss the tastes of the latest gen, but a lot of modern celebrities just don't seem to have the same substance as the stars/celebrities that were out when NSDM was airing. I definitely think a mix of older celebrities and carefully-selected modern celebrities would be the way to go. My main point was just don't forget about us older fans and make the whole thing a 2010s-a-thon of guest stars.

To be fair, with the dawn of the Internet generations pop culture is moving along about 5-6x as fast as it used to back in the day, it can be really difficult to keep up. Yeah, I think trying to get actors from the same gen as when NSDM came out, unless it's like for one or two episodes, is a giant stretch. I was thinking maybe they could at least try to get a few from the mid-80s through the 90s, though? I don't think that's too out of line.

They're really popular worldwide. An Ellen or a Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel etc. I think would really fit the show since they're all comedians and could create witty gags for which Scooby is also known for. Then again, I really think they're just gonna go for crossovers with other animated series.. Teen Titans Go..

I guess I am going to go with The Rock, Jack Black, Sherlock Holmes and Watson (PBS BBC version or Classic but Modern day version), Tom Brady and Gronk, Lebron James, Members of the World Series Champions Astros or if they can't lock up that team do another team. Popeye, Beverly Hillbillies, William Shatner, Will Smith, Justin Timberlake, Doctor Who would be a popular one but not necessarily one I'd dig same as Dog The Bounty Hunter. I don't know if they could make deals with properties owned by the competition such as Disney Movies and ABC/CBS shows or things like Roseanne, Big Bang Theory, and Indiana Jones would be popular ideas.
I just want the series to be successful and I feel these names would attract people from a vast number of generations. Most are either not giant names but are popular or would have something they could use the good press for such as Will Smith, paying a tribute such as Lebron James, or are just the top in the game looking to expand their brand post retirement such as Gronk with his nick show. Lebron could always be swapped out for Shaq if Lebron was to arrogant to help build future basketball fans.

Marvel (Marvel Jr) and Tula exist in the HB universe of the teamup books in the actual HB fashion (though Starfire uses her 2003 design)...I think Scooby would use a Hanna-Barbera team for the teen titans crossover even though the books did that weird go thing. Starfire seemed to not know what Daphne was talking about during the Martian Manhunter case so I could see them doing "Teen Titans" featuring the planned hb lineup but augmenting to include Tempest and Tula as replacement since in the HB world Cyborg and Robin are JLA.
