The Boomerang streaming service has just added eight additional season 2 episodes for those who subscribe. The added episodes include "Some Fred Time," "There Wolf," "Renn Scare," "How to Train Your Coward," "Worst in Show," "Mysteries on the Disorient Express," "The Curse of Kaniaku," and "Vote Velma." This brings the total number of season 2 episodes released in the US up to 10, including "Halloween" and "Scroogey Doo" which have been already on the service for a few months now. Now we just have to get the remaining 16 episodes, episodes 37-52, released in the US! Enjoy! www.boomerang.com/watch/3/27

I'm not even sure why they bother. If the show isn't valuable enough to make room for on CN and shown at a regular day and time so it can find an audience, why do they think it's valuable enough to attract people to actually pay money to see it on the streaming service? They're not even advertising the fact season 2 episodes are being added to the service. Just a big, confusing bummer all around. I hope, at least, a few people get a chance to see some of those eps and are entertained. My bar has gotten pretty low, apparently. I assume an Emmy is probably out of the question, so 4 or 5 new fans is a win to me.

reminds me a bit of Black Bart, the spinoff that WB made from Blazing saddles. they never aired any of the episodes, but they made an entire season due to fulfilling a clause in Mel Brooks' contract. Police Squad !, the aborted TV show that became the basis for the Naked Gun films, also works,

I like them being on the streaming service as exclusive. They are the biggest selling point of the streaming service. We have Hollywood A-List Blockbuster movie talent doing Netflix exclusive work like Will Smith, Ashton Kutcher, and Kathy Bates. Streaming Services are getting to be as much money as TV. I don't see it as an insult I see it as an honor to be the biggest draw. It got me to get the service and it got me into a few other shows. It along with other scooby products that are coming out regularly is getting people to buy it who are hardcore scooby doo fans. Boomerang may be the first kid friendly streaming service but DC Comics is getting one soon, Disney is starting a streaming service. It's the way of the future. People would rather pay then watch commercials according to the evidence we are seeing. It's way more productive for Scooby Doo to be an exclusive on it then dumped during school hours or middle of the day, or even just 5 days in a row. They also if they are smart can see from those who have the app who is watching what and what is most popular. If us Scooby Fans are watching Scooby Doo on their often and frequently it will force the CN and WB Execs to put more focus on Scooby.
They have all these exclusive HB shows on the app and are also working on starting a movie franchise universe. If they weren't invested in the APP they would either not being doing movies based on App Exclusives, or they'd be putting them on boomerang. They are focused on this app more then it shows. I am pretty sure they are releasing older stuff and stuff shown elsewhere slowly so they can get more done on shows that are going to be new and exclusive. It only make sense if they are trying to build a movie franchise on old HB characters to make interest and new fans. The easiest, cheapest, and most profitable way is crosspromotion and new series. They did the first in comics and are working on Scooby meets Batman for release next month.
Give the App and CN a chance with what they are doing.

And yet they don't promote them as "New episodes"

And yet they don't promote them as "New episodes" I saw that too, quite disappointing considering that they've labelled everything else they've added previously as "new." Pretty much the perfect metaphor for how BCSD has been treated since it premiered.

Oddly, Boomerang just added five more new episodes to the streaming service. "In Space," "Doo Not Disturb," "Silver Scream," "Fright of Hand," and "Greece is the Word" have been added as of this morning.

They did promote them in a special banner instead as they added new episodes of 4 or 5 current shows. Scooby is center in the banner and is a lot larger then any other character.
