Since this was the "comeback" movie, I understand that not all the old voice actors were probably available on the fly, but still most of the voices just didn't really fit aside from Scooby's and of course Freddy's.

Casey Kasem didn't do this one because they eat animal products. I don't mind Billy West (I think that's him) though he sounds a bit off. It makes the movie pretty unique

I honestly didn't realize that anything was different until I saw the "In Memory of Don Messick" message at the end.

Heather North actually did a day of recording, and they then replaced her with Mary Kay Bergman. I didn't know this! Voicing for Daphne has a sort of sad history. Heather North was my favorite by far, having a perfect balance of femininity and assertiveness.. It seems like the later directors (or perhaps even the actresses, too) wanted Daphne's voice to be youthful and bouncy, the problem being, everyone ages. So they replaced North with Bergman, who was then replaced by the current VA. It's a tough call, as I know that even masculine voices like Shaggy's got really strained near the end of Kasem's life (something amazing about Frank Welker is that somehow, his voice doesn't seem to age). Regardless, I'm grateful to all their contributions to the Scooby universe, and happy that we have all their great performances recorded for later generations to enjoy as well.

Yeah you could tell in Monster of Mexico and Legend of the Vampire that her voice wasn't the same after aging naturally. Frank Welker truly is one of a kind though. It will be a very sad day whenever he can't be Scooby or especially Fred anymore
