What do you think of the Apocalypse's version of Scrappy?

A lot better than the cartoon version.

I like it. It's what they wanted to do in 2002, except it actually works.

A lot better than the cartoon version. A lot of people have been saying that, but I don't really understand. Why do you think he's an improvement? I respect your opinion, I'm just curious.

OK, Scrappy 1.0 is a one-trick pony with one volume setting - loud. None of the gang then were particularly well developed characters but Scrappy's character was shallow compared to them. Never particularly liked him, even when I was growing up, to me then he broke the show. I can remember the sense of disappointment on finding the Scooby cartoon I was wanting to watch had Scrappy in it.

Scrappy was the Cousin oliver of the show, although Scooby in the 70s and 80s kept bringing in new cousins _ Dum, Dee , dixie, Dooby etc.- to the point the Doo family is huge. While he was decent in Boo Brothers, i understand why they havent included him in the decades since.

I personally also liked the more toned down Scrappy in the '80s films. Not that I minded him in the previous shows, but I agree he could be a bit annoying at times, especially in the original 1979 series.

Thanks for your responses. I don't really see how the original was shallow, but I guess from my perspective this version is just totally unsympathetic. Unless there were some parts I missed?
