I was devastated last night to learn that veteran voice actress, the great June Foray, had passed away at age 99. cartoonresearch.com/index.php...ray-1917-2017/She did quite a few voices for the Scooby-Doo franchise during its' Hanna-Barbera years, with her first one being Big Bob Oakley disguised as a gypsy fortune teller in "A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts," though she went uncredited. I believe her successor will be Grey DeLisle-Griffin, our current Daphne, as she is WB's go-to voice actress since the early 2000s, very much like June was in the 50s and 60s. (I'm betting Grey will take over voicing Granny in any new Looney Tunes material.) She will be missed...

a actor for whom ' legend' is an understatement. Foray was the last living link to the golden era of cartoons, and now that era is now officially behind us. still, her voice will live on forever, as long as those cartons are shown.

Grey sounds nothing like Granny. She has no range. Every character she does sounds exactly the same.

Not to mention, though not Scooby-related, the infamous voice of Magica DeSpell from Ducktales. A shame, I thought I had checked recently not that long ago and was surprised she was still alive.
