Scrappy look to be a lot bigger than Scooby here, and looks kinda like a weightlifter Either the nanites caused it or they're making fun of Scrappy from the first live action film.

SPOILER ... ... ... ... ... OK...does anyone else think that Scrappy died at the end? Because he's not in the cover photo or summaries of any future comics, (And it's not like when they rereleased Superstars 10 or the live action movie, 'cause he's been in other covers and summaries) and there was a big shockwave that the gang seemed concerned about. Now Scooby, in the last shot, fell away, so wasn't hit by the brunt of it. SCRAPPY, on the other hand, being the one who delt the blow to that weird brain guy, must have gotten hit full force. So, um...

SPOILER ... ... ... ... ... I expect so, I would hope Velma and Scooby get a chance for a final reconciliation with him. It might be that he reverts to the puppy Scrappy but he'd then just be a puppy, well maybe more that 'just' a puppy but not the nanite enhanced military super-dog he was.

OK, I was excited and happy when I read this, but looking back...not so much. Scrappy's Cartoon Incarnation seems to have not been recieved well by fans, but was by me. And now, reading back on this story, I find the inverse is true. Scrappy's Apocalypse self has recieved universal praise...by everyone except for me. They see...well, I'm not sure what they see, but it sure isn't what I see. They see a path of redemption. I see a path of contrived events. Scooby Apocalypse Scrappy's Redemption is genuine, but it is extremely poorly written. 1. It is less then a minute long. 2. Scooby randomly decides to give the dude who's been attacking him, his friends, belittling him, screaming at him, treating them like garbage, a break and go help him out on a suicide mission. I mean (OOC, especially considering that every single confrontation they've had previously has come to blows-Scooby showing the enemy this amount of kindness isn't unheard of, but definitely out of the blue-however, suddenly deciding they're friends is.) 3. Scrappy "It's never my fault and I hate everybody" Doo randomly has a change of heart after Scooby's nice to him. (Even more OOC then above reason) Honestly, how much more forced does it get? I'm happy Scrappy redeemed himself, but it would have been nice if it had been of better quality. Like, couldn't there have been some downtime of Scrappy maybe bonding a little bit while he was forced to stay to get himself repaired? It honestly goes from "Ooh, you're weak and pathetic" to "Ooh, you were nice to me and I love you" Says the dog who didn't give a darn about his slavesfellow pack members he randomly decided he cared about after all when he conveniantly needed a reason to attack the amalgamind. In other words, if the plot had been a bit more reliant on the characters and not random events (And indecisive writing) it would have been way less problematic. As I've said elsewhere, they like to give as heaps of unimportant stuff and rush through the important parts.
