I've always been really annoyed by APNSD, even as a kid. It's just not Scooby to me at all, and I've never liked spin-offs that are child versions of characters. Every time it came on, I wished I was watching the real Scooby Doo.

14) Laff-a-Lympics (not focused on Scooby enough, very repetitive feel after you've seen a few episodes) 13) Shaggy & Scooby Get a Clue (not really a Scooby show at all at heart, although I DID enjoy my one-time runthrough of it, I'm not likely to watch it ever again) 12) Scooby-Doo Scrappy Shorts (these are what I feel ruined Scrappy for some - without the mystery plot Scrappy really WAS as annoying as some people said he was) 11) Pup Named Scooby Doo (was cute, I liked it, but still felt was too much of a deviation) 10) 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo (for the record, this is my favorite of the "real ghost" Scooby outings, although reviewing it honestly a lot of it is corny and Vincent Price is admittedly the biggest draw) 9) New Scooby Doo Movies (I felt the pacing was off, some of these eps could've used a shorter run time) 8) New Scooby-Doo Mysteries (I absolutely love the theme song for this one, it's just that episode quality felt a little downhill from the first season of this series) 7) New Scooby and Scrappy Show (and here's that first season - again, I liked the mid-80s aesthetic of this show, it just felt like it was a grab-bag of quality) 6) What's New Scooby Doo (nothing horrible, nothing special IMO. A lot of the monsters re-used the "villain is actually a good guy" gimmick and it kind of got old fast) 5) Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc (this is the show that started the trend of the latest Scooby series including throwbacks for us older fans - I liked the style and darker plots as well) 4) Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo (the epitome of the "Scrappy" shows - actual mystery plots with the whole gang) 3) Be Cool Scooby Doo (the animation sucks hard - but the writing and comedy are surprisingly top-knotch - I've laughed more times at this series than I have from most other Scooby series - very well done!) 2) Scooby Doo Where Are You (the original series - what else needs to be said? It's not my absolute personal favorite, especially maybe since I've seen each episode at least a thousand times so it's a tad boring to me now - but it established the formula we all love to this day) 1) The Scooby Doo Show (this is the show that really solidified the concepts WAY started, and the pacing is great considering the hour-length run time)

15. Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get a Clue- Hate this one. Don't get the appeal at all but I am glad that some people enjoy it 14. Scooby Doo and Guess Who- Have only seen some, but the entire show just feels like it lacks the heart that even the next one has. Not terrible, but mostly just painfully mediocre 13. Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo shorts- These were pretty boring for the most part, but again, it feels like they put more heart into it than the last two
BIG GAP
12. New Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo show- Quite enjoyable if you ask me, I do prefer the next season though by quite a bit... 11. 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo- It's been a while and I am planning to get around to rewatching it and I can see it possibly moving up in my rankings 10. Be Cool Scooby Doo- Pretty good, but for a comedy incarnation, it doesn't quite hit as well as A Pup, and I am not a fan of the animation, but I enjoy and have a lot of respect for the writing 9. Laff a Lympics- I really enjoy the Laff a Lympics as a big Hanna Barbera fan. Good fun 8. New Scooby Doo Mysteries- Another sizable gap here, and it's just got a great vibe to it. I really love it but not quite as much as... 7. Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo (first series)- Even if this is Scrappy at his most annoying, the writing and classic mystery feel tops the third season of the Scooby Doo Show by quite a large margin making this one of the best 6. Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated- Not one of my personal top 5, but if we were talking about high-quality shows, this would be VERY high. Instead, the 5 I have the highest attachment to are in my top 5 5. A Pup Named Scooby Doo- Cheesy, but that doesn't matter with the solid writing and most importantly it is one of the funniest television shows I have ever seen period. The comedy style works REALLY well for me 4. Scooby Doo Show- It was really hard choosing which of the final 4 to keep out of the top 3, especially with the quality of the first two seasons, but the third season just didn't seem as creative or had the heart of the first two. I do enjoy that third season, but with the decrease of quality this show misses out on the top 3 3. What's New Scooby Doo- The show when I was a kid, and it is superb. Possibly the best mix of comedy and mystery in an incarnation 2. The New Scooby Doo Movies- Almost put this first because of how much more and more I'm enjoying this series (it was VERY close), but there were a few instances in which an episode got boring, or an episode just isn't as well written. As compared to the near flawlessness of... 1. Scooby Doo Where are You- Given how mainstream just about every episode of this series is and how I know them by heart, it sometimes isn't as exciting to watch these episodes, but they are all very, very good and I can't say that about any other Scooby series. As much as I wanted to throw a curveball at the top of my rankings, this had to be number 1

1. SDMI and Be Cool, tied 2. What's New 3. SDWAY 4. New SD Movies 5. The SD Show 6. Pup 7. Guess Who 8. 13 Ghosts 9. New SD Mysteries 10. Get a Clue 11. Scooby and Scrappy 12. Laff A Lympics
It's painful for me to say I hate anything Scooby-related, but alongside Reluctant Werewolf, I hate Laff a Lympics. I had to stop watching 5 or 6 episodes in. I couldn't do it. Not even for Scooby Dum, My Beloved

The Muttley/Mumbly and the Dread Baron/Dick Dastardly is particularly funny for me to think about, though.

Yeah if I were only really a fan of Scooby I would probably find little entertainment value in them as well. I think it would’ve been neat to see the rest of the gang with Scooby, Shaggy, and Scooby Dum though. Babu can and should be one of the ones to go in that scenario

I would have to sit through a watchthrough of everything to properly rate it, but I'm too lazy, so I'll just group them into "good", "meh", "bad" and "haven't seen".
Good: The Scooby-Doo Show Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979) The New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries A Pup Named Scooby-Doo What's New, Scooby-Doo? Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated
Meh: Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! The New Scooby-Doo Movies The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?
Bad: Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1980) Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get A Clue!
Haven't Seen: Laff-A-Lympics Scrappy & Yabba-Doo
Most of the shows are great, but when they're bad, they're so BAD. I also have no plans to see Laff-A-Lympics nor Scrappy & Yabba anytime soon. But I imagine they'd both go into either the Meh or Bad tiers.

I rewatched WAY the whole way through when the Blu-Ray collection dropped in 2019. It's good, but it's really not that great. It's very formulaic and not much of it reflects the Scooby-Doo it would become. Whereas The Scooby-Doo Show took everything WAY did and amped it up to 11. Sadly, it did so at the expense of Fred, Velma and Daphne, but I definitely think WAY is underwhelming as an adult. Especially when TSDS and WNSD took the exact same formula and did much better things with it.

Especially when TSDS and WNSD took the exact same formula and did much better things with it. The Scooby Doo Show is arguably so much stronger than Where are You in several key areas. In my opinion, though, Where are You prevails due to a few reasons: nostalgia (this one is obviously different for different people), the overall atmosphere, but most importantly, consistency. There are a few weaker episodes in Where are You, but it might be one of the only series without any flat out duds (Mystery Incorporated and A Pup also don’t have any flat out bad episodes off of the top of my head, in my opinion) but quite a few in season 3 are just so disappointing compared to the majority of season 1. Also, the concepts that I feel TSDS nailed are usually only found in the very best of the show. High Rise Hair Raiser, the series premiere, is ranked higher on my list than any Where are You episode, and is my favorite episode of all time because it has almost everything that I would argue TSDS does the best: Creative and clever plot, a top tier setting that hasn’t been used before, and a pretty spooky and unique looking villain. However, The Beast is Awake in Bottomless Lake, the series finale, isn’t close to being the worst of the series, but is my prime example of just reusing previous ideas and not having that same creativity or magic the best of the series have Season 3, while a solid enough season of classic Scooby, just kinda takes away from the overall quality of whichever series you count it as because it just doesn’t contain nearly the amount of what makes either series great. Because I include it with TSDS, it just kinda waters down the overall quality of the show despite it mostly being very enjoyable bc it’s classic Scooby and even including a few great episodes

I don't own that particular collection but do the "season 3" episodes at least have the Where Are You intro or The Scooby-Doo Show one? The standalone "Where Are You" season 3 set uses the Scooby-Doo Show intro.

I actually still haven't seen a handful of those episodes.

Because I include it with TSDS, it just kinda waters down the overall quality of the show despite it mostly being very enjoyable bc it’s classic Scooby and even including a few great episodes I totally understand where you're coming from. But nostalgia wasn't really a factor for me, because I watched reruns of every show pre-Pup mixed together. On any given day I'd probably watch the Ghost of Captain Cutler, The Headless Horseman, one of the Batman episodes AND the Night Ghoul of Wonderworld. So everything gives me nostalgia lol And I'm the kind of person who prefers a lighter atmosphere, because then it makes the "horror" more striking and shocking when it happens. That's why I love WNSD's bright color palette and vast number of crimes perpetrated in broad daylight. It's fun.
