I thought we could talk about a mysterious song from "Scooby-Doo and the Legend of the Vampire," one that I just call "Gonna Go to the Rock Show"...
The reason it's so mysterious is because this song is not acknowledged ANYWHERE. It's not listed in the end credits, and according to the DVD chapter listing, it says that "Getaway Yeah" plays during that part, but "Getaway Yeah" is actually the song that plays when the Wildwind vampires are chasing Scooby and Shaggy later into the film. So far, the official title of this song is unknown. We don't know the artist(s) behind it, and we also don't know who wrote the song (I'm guessing it was Gigi Meroni and Rich Dickerson, as they did a lot of work for Warner Bros. during this period). I know blink-182 had a song called "The Rock Show" around that time, but when I listened to it, it was not this same song from the movie.
So regarding this song, in the words of Fred, it looks like we've got a mystery on our hands!
Hey Guys, I read this and went on a google search myself. It ended up me taking a shot in the dark, and I emailed Rich Dickerson in the random hopes that he might get back to me to tell us about the proper information. This is the message I sent:
Greetings Rich Dickerson,
Thank you for taking your time off to read this little message. I hope you are well, and keep up the amazing work.
I was hoping that you might be able to answer a question for me, and several other Scooby fans who have not been able to get the proper answer. In the movie, Scooby Doo, Legend of the Vampire. there is a montage scene with a song you worked on. But in the ending credits there is no mention of the song. Most people figure it's named "Gonna, gonna, gonna, gonna go... to the rock show !" or "To the Rock show." But there has never been a clear confirmation of the song, and who worked on it. So most people assume that it was you and Gigi Meroni.
So I thought I would reach out, and ask. In case you were the one, or know as you worked on the project. Thought it seemed that Blink 182 get's the credit for the song, since they do have a song named "Rock show" but it's clearly different lyrics. So it would be nice to clear this up.
Again, thank you for your time, and if would be amazing to hear back and let fans know the truth about this song. And well, give credit where credit is due. Have wonderful morning/afternoon/night. And thank you again.

So I sent that two days ago, Waking up and checking my email. I was surprised and ecstatic to read this.
Hi. The song is called Gonna Go. I wrote and recorded the song. It was sung by a guy in a band out of Orange County CA named Bobby Bogner.
