Hey Guys, my pal Archaic King at Cartoon Hangout on YouTube has his reviews up for the last five BCSD episodes of season 1, including links to watch them in the comment sections (may be download only with passwords, but I think he gives instructions. He's very cool, so feel free to ask him if you have any questions. Tell him I sent you). Either way, the reviews DO contain spoilers but he's got: ep 22 - "I Scooby Dooby Do" ep 23 - "El Bandito" ep 24 - " Into The Mouth of Madcap" ep 25 - " The Norse Case Scenario" ep 26 - "The People vs. Fred Jones" Again, I suggest not watching the review until you've seen the episodes, but then, please DO watch his reviews and like and support his page. Cartoon Hangout has been an early and enthusiastic supporter of BCSD and I greatly appreciate his always fair, balanced - though normally very positive reviews - of our work. Here's the link for ep 22: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJCyE0DMpqEThe instructions for finding/viewing the episodes are in the comments and, hopefully, they still work and you can see the rest of season 1 if you've not already had the chance. Thanks and thanks to Archaic King, JCB

Thanks, guys. Please check out his Cartoon Hangout reviews of all the BCSD episodes. They're really good and concise. He has an interesting take on things, always tries to find homages or catch little easter eggs (even when they aren't there) and had, generally, been one of the early big fans and supporters of the show.
Zac and I would always be thrilled when his new review was up on YouTube during the early, embattled days of BCSD when it felt like it was us against the world trying to get people to watch and give it a chance. There were/are other YouTube reviewers who gave the show great reviews, but it felt like every day we were bombarded with a million "Looks like Family Guy" comments (each one thinking they were being original and clever) and Cartoon Hangout's little, generous kindness to our show meant the world to us - it still does.
So, again, please, if you're interested, watch his reviews, like his page, leave comments and tell him I sent you. I would greatly appreciate it and you'll enjoy his fun, little videos. As expected, the comments sections also have lots of "WTF is this crap? They ruined my childhood and made Daphne stupid, etc" from people who obviously haven't watched more than 10 seconds of a YouTube promo for the show, but that's to be expected - though it's getting pretty dull.
Hopefully his links and instructions work and you're able to see the rest of season one. 4 of the last 5 are my favorites from the season and I'm interested to see what you guys think. I won't take it personally if you don't agree - just please don't tell me I've suddenly ruined your childhood. Doesn't anyone understand I've been trying to ruin your ADULTHOOD?!!
xo JCB

Four of the last five are some of my favorites as well, along with Be Cold, Scooby-Doo, Screama Donna, and a few others.

Will; do jcb. those " you ruined my childhood" complaints are silly. have none of them WATCHED Get a Clue? I agree, but apparently a lot of people must not be happy with BCSD because the ratings are horrible. Honestly at this point I would just scrap season 2 and try to think up another show to put out in 2018. BCSD just didn't get the right amount of loyal viewers (or fans).

Couldn't the explanation for the poor ratings be CN's constant time slot changes and last-minute cancellations? Not saying you're wrong, I just think it's a more likely explanation that ratings are poor because fans can't find it with CN's poor scheduling skills.

the ratings are poor due to cartoon Networks mucking around with it. if we had a reliable schedule and airing regularly, the rating would be a lot higher. folks cant like, what they dont see after all. and scooby has plenty of fans. why else would they include him in lego dimensions, if he wasnt popular?

That is a good observation but every new show normally gets a good rating bump in the beginning because it is the "new thing" and people want to try it out. BCSD did well in the beginning, I agree, but after a while people got tired of it. If you see the ratings on Wikipedia they are a third or a fourth of what they originally were and thats comparing episode 1 and episode 12. We haven't even gotten to episode 22-31. Cartoon network plays around with BCSD, thats true, but thats because the ratings are so poor they can't possibly give it a regular time slot, it wouldn't be feasible. But tbh I am a little biased because I don't care much for BCSD, I'm a SDMI fan.

I actually agree with some of what you said. I think Scooby doo itself is popular but that doesn't mean BCSD is popular. People love the original Scooby doo a lot more than they love BCSD. Look at every major rating site, SDMI and WNSD beat out BCSD in the ratings every time. Also CN moves BCSD around so much because it is performing so horrible, some of the shows only have .3 million viewers, and for a new show on episode 12 or 13 that is just not acceptable, whether it is being moved around or not IMO.

These were on Boomerang UK a while back. I like all of them bar The People vs Fred Jones, that one just didn't do it for me, enjoyed the others though. Of those listed I think "El Bandito" and "Into The Mouth of Madcap" were my favourite (even if the latter wasn't a version of Lovecraft's "At the Mountains of Madness" which I thought it might be.

Nonsense. We did something radical with BCSD and we knew people would be resistant at first. CN burned through our first ten episodes in ten days before we had any more ready to air. Then we went on a long hiatus and the show was never placed in a regular time slot on the same day or channel so no one could find it. It was never given a chance. I've heard person after person say that once they finally gave it a chance they loved it. CN ruined its chance to gain a loyal following. If you don't promote a show, stop airing new episodes and never put it anywhere people can find it - the ratings will go down! People need to SEE it to get good ratings. Your logic is totally backwards. The ratings didn't go down because people gave it a chance and didn't like it - the ratings went down because people couldn't find it TO give it a chance and discover (like so many have) that it's a good show - that gets better as it goes along. Season 2 is fantastic. If CN (or anyone) puts it on and allows people to find it and watch it regularly, the word will spread nd the ratings will go up. I don't have faith this will happen, but it's not because the show isn't good. If that was the case SDMI was also a "bad show" that was put on long hiatuses and had its scheduled messed with because people didn't care for it. BCSD is in the same boat as SDMI. They both had their scheduled screwed with and they both got 2 seasons. The truth is, I don't think CN wants non-CN in-house shows competing with their won shows for ratings and sabotage outside shows. I have no idea why they continue to make deals with outside studios when they feel this way and continue to do this with show after show. Either way, I'm sorry you don't care for BCSD, but I strongly disagree that it's the show's quality that accounts for it's ratings.
