well said russm. i tend to think it is Batman's code as well, the 'one rule' heath Ledger's Joker refers to in the Dark Knight. Dr Who on the other hand, has rules, because he is a time Lord. time has its own rules as well.

Green Lanterns powers also rival Supermans, again, nearly god like power, most villains dont stand a chance. Batman refuses to kill, despite many opportunities to do so. Self Righteousness, or having a strict moral code, you pick, but batman sends his guys to jail, where they eventually break out. I'm actually not familiar with Wonder Womans Rogues. It has generally been Batman's moral code but in the earliest 1939 issues he did not hesitate to do what he had to. The writers only changed it in 1940 after the costume switch from black to blue because of it being "not-family friendly" for a superhero to kill (and the costume switch was because of both printing issues and as Batman himself said in the New Frontier film "I want to scare criminals not kids" yeah the early black suit was too spooky). Sure those golden age comics were made for teens-young adults but that didn't mean that kids wouldn't read them (because they were short fun stories that weren't too wild). Also i can give you a short list of the rogues of Wonder Woman that actually survive because they're worth being her opponent (or some other reason) Arch-enemy of all time is The Cheetah (Priscilla Risch, Deberah Domaine and currently Dr. Barbera Minerva, and part of the nega-Trinity with Lex and Joker) then Dr. Physcho (he's a telepath/reality warper) Ares, Hades and Silver Swan. Basically Wonder Woman fights greek legends and a few nutsos but when she fights greek legends they give her some tests because she herself is one.

Harley Quinn and the Joker, interesting! Inspired by the Suicide Squad movie, I presume? Sounds cool to me!

It might be inspired, or might be seperate entirely Separate entirely. Scooby is on the same Earth as Super Friends. Earth 1A, home to everything Hanna-Barbera, just that now the HB JLA is being portrayed as slightly more like their DCAU selves rather than their 1973 selves.

The 1973 Superfriends were really buddy buddy, which really didnt make much sense when you consider Batman has always been the loner of the group.

Yeah...it didn't make much sense but this was the end of the silver age when 1973 happened things were still "it's happy giggly derp weird and wacky for all" type. 1975 took things to a too serious tuing with the bronze age and by 1985 they just decided let's hit the reset button because nothing's working.

not to mention that the 70s was the continuing of things that began in the 60s. the gay subtexts in the buddy buddy Superfriends, in pretty obvious in retrospect. Dont believe me? go watch Flash Gordon the early 80s flick.

Dont believe me? go watch Flash Gordon the early 80s flick. That's why Betty/Bette Kane and her aunt Kathy were introduced in the early 1960's to the Batcomics as Batgirl and Batwoman. To ward off suspicions because Catwoman wasn't cutting it for "bruce's love life" neither was his "Lois" Vicki Vale...strangely enough he's only ever gotten past first base with Vicki. Dick on the other hand almost became an item with Bette but then she was elsewhere and he met Babs.

in the Batman Beyond Series. Barbara Gordon told Terry that she had dated Bruce for a good period. in the 1989 flick, Bruce actually slept with Vale
