scoobnick highly recommended I try this place out being a Scooby Doo fan for life. He's an old pal of mine. I prefer the older Scooby stuff all the way up to the first season of Scrappy Doo. Mystery Inc. wasn't bad and actually gave us a storyline to follow. What else to share.....I like a lot of animation stuff...so Disney, Don Bluth, some Miyazaki...all have homes in my cabinet. Blu-rays preferred of course! I draw a bit in my spare time to keep my sanity. I work with adolescent kids all day as a teacher, so this is how I relax. Ciao, Chip

Welcome Chipper. Glad to see you stop by. I Like Be Cool, Its the story the sells it. once you get past the Family Guy type of the animation, the story shines through.

The first and second season with Scrappy are by far the worst you should try the others, he gets likable! Oh and welcome to the forum!

Hello!
I too am not a fan of the scrappy show. Scrappy does mature in TNSDMysteries and the Superstars movies (Boo Brothers, Reluctant Werewolf, Ghoul School) so those are worth a watch.
What Miyazaki movies do you like? Castle of Cagliostro is a lesser known one that I happen to love. My sister accused it of being too similar to Scooby Doo. Haha.

The usual fan favorites - Castle in the Sky, Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle. I've never seen Castle of Cagliostro, so I'll have to keep my eye out for that one, maybe buy a copy off of amazon. Early searches simply say its one of Miyazaki's earlier films.

my favorite is Spirited Away, of those films. I love Ghlibi, in general.

I'm actually of the opposite opinion of Scrappy...I liked him before they toned him down!

If you can find the newest release of Cagliostro it has a family friendly option. The language is a bit rough in other versions, I believe it's the first movie Miyazaki directed. There's also Nausicaa Valley of The Wind. It's not the best but kind of a similar theme to Mononoke.

i have not seen Cagliostro- which sounds like a city in Italy, or a location in Pinocchio.

I've never seen any of Miyazaki's films. Never been a fan of anime.
