I loved it (watched it on tv for once!, finally living in Ireland has given me done privilege over America ). This is the best episode we've got since Scary Christmas, it was fantastic!
I adored Daphne in this, it was just an exaggerated version of the original! She was clumsy, a hopeless romantic and a bit ditzy. Its a shame we couldn't have her in every episode but I'll take what I can get. Shaggy's fear of speeches was great too and his speech at the end was adorable. I wasn't too fond of Velma's "stompiness", but 2/3 isn't half bad. Fred and Scooby didn't really have anything to do. Fred's ascot joke was spectacular too, so funny without words! Despite this I thought Fred was written amazingly, so close to the original it's scary.
I thought the writing of the episode was really funny, I loved Daphne's analysis on weddings! Oh and the part where they threw plates at the ghost had me cracking up. The reveal was also clever and unique too! The scene in the bedroom was hilarious.
8.5-9/10, superb!

This episode was perfect in every aspect, definitely one of my favorites of the series! As other people have mentioned in this thread, Fred's ascot joke was great even with no words! Daphne looked adorable in her wedding outfit, really cute how she was trying to make the wedding perfect.
The Cliff Bride was such a cool villain, love the name too! The bedroom scene was fantastic, laughed through the whole thing. Daphne's pep talks towards the end as we've seen in a few different episodes now are great, hope it stays a recurring thing. This one was particularly great, Daphne's whole speech about marriage was hilarious! Shaggy's fear of giving the speech was funny as well.
My absolute favorite part though was Daphne's "last stand" against the Cliff Bride, her little freak-out moment was perfect in every way lol. Although close was how the parents made up at the end and put aside their differences because they both tried to sabotage their kids' special day lol. I have to admit though I didn't see the bride's mom being involved, although it was easy to guess that the groom's mother was the ghost.
Oh and was the electronic-type music during the chase scene supposed to be the "Wedding Mix" that Shaggy found by the DJ booth?
Definitely deserves a 10/10, couldn't have been any better!

A little inside, behind the scenes information for you on this one: I had originally worked with another freelance writer on this story and was getting into with him, all excited about these Daphne/Velma scenes and all the new character stuff this episode allowed us to do when I started noticing the writer was NOT seeming very enthusiastic about it (I won't mention any names because the writer is brilliant and I've worked with him a lot on other episodes). I asked him what was wrong and he finally admitted that he just wasn't into doing a "wedding" episode. Haha. It just wasn't his "wheelhouse" he felt. He was more into darker, haunted house kinda stuff. I was, like, "Oh, okay, cool, no problem. I want you to LOVE what you're doing." and I gave it to another freelance writer who had to jam it out quickly and then, as usual (because the schedule was so tight) I had to basically write/rewrite the entire thing from scratch myself to make sure all those scenes I had imagined were executed properly. WB, themselves, wasn't too hot on this episode because they thought 6 year-olds wouldn't care about weddings, but I really thought it was a GREAT episode for the gang and allowed us to do some brand new stuff with them we've never seen before. I loved Velma's "stomping" and, yes, the Velma/Daphne scene where they're trying to keep the bride from seeing the ghost in her room was a classic comedy scene that made me so happy. I'm so glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks! JCB

Thanks so much for the behind the scenes info!
Odd though that WB didn't want a wedding episode, as it was done previously in "Wedding Bell Boos" from Scooby & Scrappy-Doo. Although I guess it makes sense from the standpoint of worrying that their target kid audience would be bored/disinterested in it.
I'm really glad though you did decide to make it even with WB's disapproval/skepticism on this episode, I agree with you that it made for a great chance to develop the characters more and see them in a different way than we normally do.
I totally forgot to mention Velma's stomping in my review, that was fantastic!
Thanks again for the behind-the-scenes stuff and I'm really looking forward to seeing these next four episodes!

Loved it. One of my favourites. I loved the couple's characterization, the ascot joke, the techno music chase, the bedroom chase was my fave, Shaggy's speech phobia etc. Velma was a bit annoying in this one.
If any writer, producer etc. comes across this, MAKE A HEX GIRLS SPIN-OFF SERIES!!!
So many funny moments - the bride's room scene, Daphne talking about how bad marriages can be, Shaggy and Scooby's fake marriage trick on the ghost, etc. lol!
