So...I recently discovered that I season I own of "What's New" has the episode "The Vampire Strikes Back". I had read that Jane Wiedlin was not part of the episode and decided to check out the credits. I noticed that she is credited for the song "Petrified Bride", but Jane and Dusk are missing from the cast credits. Thorn and Luna are listed with their respective original actresses. Do we have any confirmation if Jane voiced Dusk in this episode? It's not listed in her IMDB page nor is it in her Wikipedia page. I'm going to assume she IS voicing her this episode, considering that she did voice her in "Legend Of The Vampire" and even got her own song. I'm just a bit curious...I'm a fan of her music and "The Go-Go's", so I love that she's Dusk's voice actress.

Dusk and Luna were both voiced by Kimberly Brooks in this episode... at least their speaking voices; Jane Wiedlin was credited for Dusk's singing voice, but I'm not sure if that was true or not. Another reason why this is not my favorite Hex Girls appearance; that, and the episode ripped off one of my favorite Disney movies "The Great Mouse Detective."

Hmm....I guess I'll have to take your word for it. Honestly, that is a bit disappointing. I really enjoyed the episode and LOVE The Hex Girls, but it isn't right without Jane - or any of the other actresses had Kimberly or Jennifer been absent instead. It's strange that they didn't give anyone credit for the role though...all the other characters were listed. Did they just not want us to know Jane wasn't involved? Strange... Anyway, I'm still hoping we see them again sometime! As long as all three actresses return anyway... Maybe Jane was just too busy at the time to go to the recording studio?

Interesting I swear I remember an interview with Jane (done in the mid-2000s) where she said she'd had voiced Dusk in the character's three appearances (as there were only three at the time).
Possibly credits screwed up, something not uncommon to see in Scooby Doo. I believe there's another episode where Jennifer Hale does a couple voices (not of Thorn though) and it only credits her for one, so it's entirely possible Jane could have been missed out. Wouldn't suprise me here considering that it appears this episode went through some modifications, as shown by how the magazine shown by Daphne (at the point where she mentions Dusk planning to go solo) at the beginning has a jaggy line between Thorn and Dusk/Luna rather than Dusk and Thorn/Luna.
Regardless if Kimberly Brooks did indeed voice both Luna and Dusk here she did a pretty good job of it, all things considered. I've never noticed much difference before myself, though that could be because Dusk doesn't exactly have many lines if I remember the episode correctly.
