I am boycotting the movie due to the failure of those two DTV sequels and the use of CGI animation. They could have done it in the style of Roger Rabbit if full 2D animated movies are hard to get into theaters these days. But there is still no reason to replace the existing voice actors just to make room for celebrities.

They want more known actors/actress to play the roles, so people will tune in to watch. I would beg to differ. The pick appeals to a very defined segment of the potential audience. People will see it because it's Scooby, not because Zac what's his face is replacing Frank Welker. For me the loss of the existing VAs, and their treatment in this, is one reason to not see it. No, people will see it for Zac as well trust me. All WB cares about is to get a new fan base made out of younger generations. It’s some sort of rebranding, they want non-fans to tune it

I would expect that the film will depend on a degree of pre-knowledge of the characters and background to give the film context, and that is where CN etc come in.

But there is still no reason to replace the existing voice actors just to make room for celebrities. It is only one theatrical film. Dtvs and series will remain as they are...unless Gina makes a better Velma than Kate. Frank Welker is still in it per Hanna-Barbera law. Grey Griffin is likely too busy for the theatrical film by having various projects to do at the same time as Scooby...especially with her Friendly Rivaly with Tara Strong. Almost no one likes Kate Miccuci as Velma...so WB is playing it safe there by choosing Gina Rodriguez...as new crowds will know her as the current voice Carmen Sandiego in the 2019 Netflix serial. This is good for both Scooby and Carmen as the Lynne Thigpen chief of A.C.M.E. was named Velma in the books, though the show calls the Chief Tamera Fraser now. Both Carmen and Scooby can ride on each other with Gina as Velma. Matthew Lillard? He's likely seen as ”yesterday's news" by WB and Hollywood both. Frank Welker would be too if he wasn't Megatron...and do you really want to tell Megatron no?

The studio has released some images of the gang, now including Daphne, and the tricked out Mystery Machine. The first trailer should drop on Monday.

Keep a sharp eye out for Blue Falcon in the images released. Trust me, he's in there.

Awe kid Shaggy and puppy Scooby look so adorable in that one shot, I love their friendship so much : )
Can't wait for the trailer, we've never actually seen how the gang got formed, even back in A pup named Scooby Doo days we didn't so I'm curious on that new take.
Blue Falcon, on the big screen perhaps?

Blue Falcon, on the big screen perhaps? It's already confirmed he's in it along with Dynomutt, Captain Caveman, Dastardly & Muttley, and The Teen Angels

Seeing a mixed reaction on Tumblr, many not liking what has been done to Fred (where's the Ascot?), Daphney's 'Disney face' and the replacement of the current VAs with random Hollywood people.

I like that the 13 Ghosts version of the classic gear for Daphne was used. Maybe that means she'll be more active? Also I've always thought Daphne's design was a more simplified Aurora, looks like they're following through with that here.
