Soupperson, I also thought it dragged out a bit, but also feel it benefitted from the longer time than the run time the TV special had. I think the main problem is they're limited with the minifigures they've created, but they have to use the monsters they've already done and try and incorporate that around new characters we'll likely never see. They should get onto new sets, so it can have more freedom. Obviously there's a lot of rehashing and it's not completely bad, which goes in they're favour, but hopefully we'll see a lot more growth in the next year or so. I think Velma was better in this, along with the rest of the gang, although to be honest, only I'm not sure about chirpy(?) Daphne, I feel that should only be used in Be Cool, but I'll take what they did over what's been done in Rock and Roll Mystery. The LEGO bios show how much potential they can give to the gang.

Oh yes those LEGO descriptions were fantastic, except for Daphne's. To be honest I'd rather Be Cool over a brave and brawny Daphne, like LEGO's description. I don't understand how the rest of the characters were based off the original and then we have modern Daphne with the title danger prone randomly thrown in. I don't think we'll have the original Daphne back until 2019, for the anniversary.

It made her sound interesting, and less useless. I'd just like to see that come to fruition.

Even in her news reporter days she still got scared easily, Heather's scared voice was used a lot in that series. The LEGO description basically just says Mary Sue, but she's also danger prone, which doesn't make any sense.

I'm guessing not only is Kate Micucci the Velma voice for "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo", but she's also Velma for the Lego Scooby-Doo productions. Hopefully they still keep Mindy Cohn on board for their other Scooby-Doo projects.
It did seem dragged out a bit, but I did enjoy how they took advantage of being Legos, like Shaggy taking off his hair like a hat or wig and popping it back on, or when something crashes, the Lego bricks scatter apart, like in real life. In some ways, it reminded me of that excellent Simpsons episode that was done in Legos.

I have watched this some time now but never worte my review. It was okay. I too felt like it dragged on, but it had some funny moments as well. I also liked how LEGO-ish it was (Shaggy taking off his hair and stuff). The plot was decent. I'd wish they made more LEGO monsters figures to produce more variant specials/movies instead of re-using those already out. The music was good. Finnegan Schwartz singing made the movie seem like Be Cool. The SDMI scores heard, as well as the gang being from Crystal Cove, was a nice and nostalgic touch. To me, this was like a Be Cool movie, with a touch of SDMI, all in LEGO form. I liked it, but not loved it as much as the special. The DVD comes out in Greece at the end of May, will definitely get it.

I really enjoyed it, some great jokes. The villain was a little predictable though.

It was done fairly well. Funny. Not spectacular but worth a watch or two. I loved all the Lego hairpiece jokes.

I think Mindy is done completely now. Is that a guess or do you have a source for that?

I think Mindy is done completely now. Is that a guess or do you have a source for that? Just a guess, I couldn't see why she'd continue for the DTV and not the normal series and LEGO stuff. I prefer Kate too

Mindy mentioned on Twitter last summer that she would still voice Velma in the DTV films, but Kate Micucci would be voicing her in Be Cool and any LEGO productions.

I wonder why they replaced Mindy. I thought she did a great job voicing Velma.
