I don't remember it that way. I recall Scooby came out with Sin Cara around the time it was released. In 2014 they aired the trailer during RAW and Smackdown! once WB released it. Then in 2015 they didn't have a mascot but they had the Bella Twins do a backstage promo dressed in Pebbles costumes and again they showed the trailer often on RAW and Smackdown! but again only after WB released it.
I would imagine the would do the same but we don't have a press release yet from WB with the trailer yet. So I wouldn't expect WWE to be hyping it until they do.
Some of the other stuff reported doesn't come directly from WWE though. It comes from wrestling news sites that report on backstage elements. I don't think WWE's official website ever said anything but generic bits on any of them. And the news they were being made for the first two, plus the Scooby sequel and the Jetsons one were all broken first on wrestling news sites, not by WB or WWE themselves.
EDIT: Just checked the videos on WWE's youtube page. Both those segments happened on the Monday Night RAW the night before boths respective US release dates. I wouldn't expect the tie-in for the sequel to be any different.

Personally, I won't be convinced until it happens (and the only one I see happening is the Jetsons/WWE one, and that's only because Grey DeLisle mentioned she was doing it). The problem with sharing a movie, is that you have to wait longer. Before these WWE and KISS team-ups, when new DVD films came out, they'd have a trailer of the next one. Now that there's these team-ups, they don't do that anymore, presumably because these deals take time to make and don't have the material to show or can't show it trailer form until things have been approved.

Very interesting, it's peculiar there's only one movie next year! Unless there's plans for old seasons being released on DVD!

I think we have more Scooby-Doo Mysteries episodes than Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show episodes on DVD. I think it depends how you view it. There maybe another LEGO movie next year.

Okay so let's do some rumor accounting here. We have some changes but this site hasn't altered the name for the WWE one nor does it have an entry for the Lego movie yet.
I'm going to take a guess that like the Puppet one, the Lego one is itself counted as what should have been a third wheel. But the last minute changes on the 2nd WWE movie probably caused a shift. In which case they didn't need to worry about a new one, because they already had the Lego one ready to go.
I think the best evidence to support this theory is that we've had two for a long time, and 2017 and 2018 both have two entries but notice we have tentative names for only one of the Scooby and the Tom and Jerry. The 2nd 2017 Scooby seems to be behind that curve. Perhaps because Wild West itself got pushed back. And at the same time the Jetsons special is still ear marked for 2017. Strange only one of the 4 2017 ones doesn't have a tentative name.
So with this I say it's probable to think we are getting 1 animated Scooby, 1 lego Scooby, 1 animated Tom and Jerry. The second one probably was Wild West but now that's for next year. So this probably only leaves the question of are we still getting any specials this year? And it could be so because we still haven't heard of a 13 Spooky Tales release for the year. Would these have been pushed back to? Or perhaps the addition of full length lego Scooby movies is going to be replacing our Scooby specials? And if so where does that leave the 2nd yearly special that for two years went to Scooby, then 1 for Tom and Jerry, 1 for Flintstones and next year for the Jetsons? Kind of makes one think there should be something filling that spot to be announced.

It's been some time, and this site has some changes.
While Curse of the Speed Demon was clearly Scooby Doo WWE 2, they have two entires currently up for it.
Haunted Hollywood was nowhere on this list, but now has an entry.
Wild West and one TBA are still earmarked for 2017 and two TBAs for 2018. But now there is also a Lego Scooby earmarked for 2017.
No change on Tom and Jerry, Charlie one earmarked for 2017, one TBA for 2018.
WWE Jetsons earmarked for 2017.
With this in mind, I think it looks like 2016 was probably our transitional year. Where the half hour specials end and the lego series begins. I have no idea how much cost and schedule difference that means. But it looks like 2017 is just as it was but with one alteration. 2 Scooby dtvs, 1 T&J, 1 varied special, 1 Scooby lego.
So at this point if that is correct. There is no listing for 2018's last two. But one of those might be if WWE wants a movie for 2018, that decision is going to be made after the numbers for Speed Demon comes in. That movie could be one of the Scooby TBAs or the T&J TBA or a brand new entry. I'll monitor wrestling news sites if that arrises.

not all of the scooby doo mysteries have been released, Showboat Scooby, for instance, has not been released.
