The animation was fantastic! I love the character designs, including the crisom witch who was a cool villain. I didn't see a reason to include the superpowers, it just seemed like something they included to sell it to kids. Having Daphne being kissed by an 63 year old was creepy  They didn't do much with Fred being jealous, so that was an odd addition. The plot itself was kind of bland and the reveal was so obvious. I give it 6/10 |

The super powers were more a throwback in that the writers are finally digging much deeper for references. Looking up Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park and seeing it was made in part by Hanna Barbera explains a lot of why they did that.

About to watch this. As a Fraphne fan I'm scared though. Her making out with Starchild may make me vomit. Hopefully it was initiated by Starchild cause if not I'll vomit even more. Haha.

Saw it and ugh. Daphne. Daphne. Daphne. Made out with a 63 year old right in front of the guy who loves her. Ouch.
Overall it wasn't as bad as feared.

I was surprised how at the very beginning, they used the "Castle Thunder" sound effect, like older Disney and Hanna-Barbera cartoons often did! So I included it in my montage here...
Which begs the question; I wonder if they'll use it on anything Looney Tunes-related?

What an odd movie. It kind of felt like the R cartoon "Heavy Metal" if anyone's seen that. You've got rock, "chemical" hallucinogens, flying guitar spaceships... Not what I expected from a Scooby movie at all.

Daphne's crush on Starchild was super creepy. Also don't touch my ascot was a funny joke on the audience. Hyping up a new KISS song and coming out with that!

yeah this one was all over the place. giving KISS superpowers to nods to other groups with superpowers like the 3 stooges and the harlem globetrotters, even Josie and Pussycats i Space. yeah Daphne frenching a guy 5 times her age is really really creepy. then against the Daphne-Fred subplot is super-tired by this point. the alternate dimension, and the Sailor Moon esque transformations wee cool.
