I'm so confused, I know she's a lousy driver but LOL.

That's really weird. She could easily drive the van back in the 1980's...

That HB-land continuity idea is as strong as ever.
Continuity when you need it, gone when you don't.

They had to connect it to her driving the spaceship probably... They just wanted a way to connect things without really looking back to the Scooby Doo archives...

The real question is:
Why does Scooby have one?

The real question is: Why does Scooby have one? So he can drive the Mystery Machine? And it's funny.

I think the Warner Brother timeline doesn't include The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show through The 13 Ghost of Scooby-Doo and those shows and the DTVs from the late 90s-early 2000s are in their own separate continuities. I do like how Scooby has a license though.

I think there's just enough ignorance to the average viewer that you could treat Daphne as never having driven before to get away with it. As mattpricetime said, continuity when you need it, gone when you don't.

Continuity when you don't need it and they don't follow it if they do. She and Shaggy both had pilots licenses in one of the episodes.

She and Shaggy both had pilots licenses in one of the episodes. Very true, I think Daph and Shaggy both had piloting licenses in 13 Ghosts. I believe Daphne also had her license in some of the New Scooby-Doo Mysteries episodes.

Would it not make more sense if this took place before Scrappy joined the gangh?
