I don't remember how i got into it. All I remember is watching the original on my TV a lot time ago late one night and loved it.

I was researching a video. I never knew about Mystery Incoporated before. That was a lot of fun. Several of the late 90s/early 00s movies too.

Well, I had seen the old cartoons as a kid. But Mystery Incorporated was really the first thing I watched as an adult. It was really cool. Wish they would do another series like it.

Boomerang and Cartoon Network though I don't remember what series was my introduction but it was likely before What's New?. But I do remember vibes of New Mysteries and 13 Ghosts from the early 2000's but I didn't rewatch them with a full memory until 2009 or 2010.

How else? I watched reruns of the series as a child before I can even remember and I just never grew out of it.

I actually got into Scooby Doo after buying a bean bag doll of him at universal studios. I got the doll since it was adorable and I thought the name Scooby Doo was cute.
From there, I decided to watch the shows. I think the first one I ever watched was the Scooby Doo Movie (the one with those guest stars). It was the episode with the Genies.

My friend at the time showed me the 2002 movie, and from that, I watched SDMI on Netflix. I was very late getting into the show, relatively!

It's been a while since I thought about how I got into Scooby Doo. But I used to watch What's New Scooby Doo, and I believe that's the first time I ever watched SD

This is an interesting thread and it helps me visualize Scooby throughout the years. Year 2001 seems to sort of divide old Scooby from new Scooby in my view. The Gunnverse basically set a dividing line. Mathematically, it is probably about right, too. Well, in around ten years.

I think because of my mum. I know she liked the show growing up and would watch the movies with me. Truth to be told I can't remember an exact reason as I can remember watching the show from as young as 5.

I know that I got into Scooby-Doo in 1985 during its final two years on ABC, when "The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries" was airing. The reason was because a lot of shows I enjoyed on Saturday mornings prior to 1985 got cancelled, thus increasing boredom. Add to that, my mother banned me from watching "Sesame Street" in the fall of 1984 (I was just over a year away from becoming a teen then), which further increased boredom. Then, the following summer, when I was on summer vacation, I got hooked on Scooby-Doo.
However, the interest was short-lived because my cable provider switched ABC affiliates from Bangor, Maine (which aired reruns of Scooby in syndication around suppertime) to Detroit, Michigan affiliates. Plus, the newest Scooby series, "13 Ghosts", was horrible. This meant, of course, that my interest in Scooby-Doo was very short-lived, and my interest in Saturday morning fare continued its downward spiral.
At least I am able to enjoy Scooby-Doo more nowadays and I have downloaded pretty much every series (except "Get a Clue", "Mystery Incorporated" and "Be Cool"), and I do enjoy "Guess Who" quite greatly. Despite my distaste for "Be Cool", I am willing to give it a try because I heard the storylines are quite interesting.
