I can't be bothered to right a full in-depth review haha, but I really enjoyed this movie. It was quite self-aware (i think i'm using that in the right context haha?) compared to the other movies released in the past couple of years (well at least I thought it was), and I found to to be very funny.
Not the best review haha but I just thought I'd give my thoughts on it.

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS... ... ... ... ... This movie was EPIC!! The setting was just perfect, the plot was elaborate and twisty, and the characters were surprising. The awkward pauses were kind of funny at first, but they got boring after a while... Also, the fast change of pictures (eg. when boarding the Transylvanian Express, when getting the Mystery Machine ready etc) was pretty good, but, like the awkward pauses, turned out to be too much. Seeing the old foes of Mystery Inc. from the vintage episodes was so cool! A well-planned conspiracy! The way they presented the goofs at the credits was hilarious! Too bad they didn't mention the coloring mistakes, LOL... Overall, a great movie. Definitely the best of the recent DTVs (Abracadabra-Doo/Camp Scare etc), but, unlike WB had announced, not Halloween-themed. But it was such fantastic a movie that this didn't bother me at all.

Spoileriest spoilers to ever exist ahead TURN AWAY NOW! RUN, RUN AWAY AND WATCH IT IN ALL ITS UNSPOILER-IED GOODNESS DONT COME ANY CLOSER......I warned yooooooooou. The credits bit made me laugh, it also made me realise I a not very observant I didn't notice any of those things until they pointed it out. So let me get this straight talking dogs, flying cars, a land where someone can be in a a balloon or have needles in their butts without noticing I'm just supposed to accept, but repairing a clock or having a backup train is something I should be demanding answers for? (I'll admit the shaggy getting clothes out of no where is odd but no where near as weird as the other stuff) The jerky scene changes and calling themselves the Scooby gang numerous times was uncomfortable to watch but became less noticeable after the first 10 minutes. The story line was good too. Although the subject of the villains coming for revenge is a common theme in fanfiction it was fun to see an official (less bloody) take on it, also this movie seems to hint it takes place in the same universe as whats new scooby doo. All the pictures behind the Daphne fanboy where mementos and photos from that series, it even included the Daphne valentine from the WNSD valentines day special. With that in mind the Fred from that series did alot of growing up to be the sane fred in the DTV line. One other thing is Velma was called the youngest heir to the Dinklenstein fortune..... Madelyn? you know, Velmas younger sister? she even made like a split second appearance in a reused scene? Out of everything that's the only thing I could have used an explanation for. Break the rules of the real world in a cartoon I wont question it but by disregarding your own internal universe logics on a throwaway line and that's just not right. Velma could have at least mentioned she picked up on it, when explaining that she had never seen the "family lawyer" before in her life she could have thrown in that for a family lawyer he knew very little about her family. But nope not so much as a raised eye brow. Spare train got a mention actual plot hole was ignored. Now I've pointed that out gotta watch my back for federal agents storming my basement... Anyway those were minor annoyances. The animation was solid no floating characters on a poorly rendered background (looking at you mecha mutt menace)the story was fun and although I wouldn't say it was the best of the DTVs it was still a great watch and not at all disappointing. The other good thing was that although they did do the whole "we love each other more than the things they took away" thing that I'm sure everyone saw coming from the moment the blurb was released, they didn't do it in an overly soppy/after school special way.

Out of everything that's the only thing I could have used an explanation for. It would have depended on the rule for inheriting the fortune, it the condition was that it went to the youngest first born child blah, blah, blah then Velma would qualify.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Just noticed that the spoiler warnings seemed to get bigger by the post, so I thought I'd continue the pattern . I loved this movie! Loved the references to classic villains at the beginning, and it was even better that they turned out to be the villains again at the end! I really liked Velma's new look too! The bloopers at the end were funny too! The only two things I didn't like about the movie were the random awkward pauses, and the fart jokes got quite annoying after a while. I suppose they're trying to appeal to the young kids that are watching, but I think there are better ways to do that than adding fart jokes. Otherwise, great movie! Not my favorite DTV, but it was certainly one of my favorites! Just curious, did anyone else notice the reference to the 70s Christmas special "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" when Fred calls the Burgermeister "Burger Meisterburger?" Also, the music that they used when Daphne was in the hall with the Ghost of Baron VonDinkenstein was the same music that they used during the visions in "Night Terrors." Can't wait for the next one!

Wow, this movie had quite a few explosions. Was it influenced by Michael Bay or something?
And apparently the current Scooby-Doo crew doesn't like trains ("The Wild Brood," anyone?) That runaway sequence reminded me of the early 1990s Winnie-the-Pooh episode "The Good, the Bad and the Tigger" (same train wreck sound effects too).
The constant Internet references was very reminiscent of "What's New Scooby-Doo" and "The Fairly Odd Parents" (now we just needed someone saying "Uh... Internet?" ala Timmy Turner.)
I did enjoy Fred being upset over the loss of the Mystery Machine... And I enjoyed the geek in the credits going over some of the plot holes, like the train suddenly appearing fixed (they probably ordered a spare engine; when a locomotive explodes and is demolished down to frame, it's scrapped and never rebuilt, like the train in the aforementioned "Wild Brood.")
So it may not be the best, but it's still pretty interesting...

I wasn't too fond of this movie honestly. It was kind of darker, which I liked. Basically just a Scooby doo version of Frankenstein with a mystery/revenge plot. The scene changes were jerky and disrupted the flow, and I was going to throw this movie out the window if I saw that mystery machine blow up one more time. The beginning was extremely fast paced and felt rushed, it created an anxiety for me that lasted through the movie. Almost immediately I thought it would be about a past villain getting revenge (the mask, which most of us on here recognized immediately and the web show that brought up all the old cases made me think something was up) In general, I liked it, really funny and a good atmosphere. A little goofy, flying vans and acupuncture needles and whatnot. But it was still enjoyable and we got to hear some backstory on Velma. Not my favorite DTV, not even in my top 5 but I still recommend it. Someone posted a review on Amazon a few days ago concerning Daphne's weight gain and how it was harmful to body image etc...If anyone has concerns about that, its not that big of a deal at all. As an ISSA trainer, I personally feel the blur between being comfortable with one's body and denying that someone has a unhealthy weight problem has become problematic.

I was going to throw this movie out the window if I saw that mystery machine blow up one more time. Totally agree with you there, they showed that way too many times.

I didn't mind it, nor the other fast scenes. I agree that they were too much, but it was OK by me.

So just watched the movie and have to say, I really enjoyed it! I thought it was pretty funny. Kept me laughing. The mystery itself was cool! I really didn`t expect what happened at the end there and the references back to the old show was just awesome. And I think with this, it really depends on your sense of humor. For me, the whole fred having flash back thing was funny. For some, that may have been annoying. Once again WB did not disappoint me with their direct to dvd movies.

This was my absolute favorite Scooby movie ever. I liked it better than Zombie Island. I was practically rolling on the floor laughing every time there was a quick-cut sequence and every time the van's explosion was shown. I thought it was hilarious how the fire ball got bigger and bigger to the point of the whole world exploding, symbolizing Fred's loss of his world view. I loved how they gave some context to the Scooby gang, I loved how they referenced older shows, I loved how the creative team obviously loved the movie and to me the film was perfect. The final scene was sweet ("We love each other.") and the van flying around at the very end was so over the top I busted a gut. In my opinion, the movie is the perfect love letter to the fans.

I posted somewhat in the other thread, but at first i was thinking of the movie as odd and not really a favorite, until the end reveal. And that made it work so much better in my book.
The heir thing to me I think might have been a tip off in itself or a joke at the countless times Scooby characters have been heirs to homes that didn't make that much sense. (why does Scooby get his Uncle's mansion? why does Shaggy get this plantation from an uncle that apparently was alive back in the civil war? etc)
But the end reveal of it being a big conspiracy makes it obvious the baddies weren't speaking with any 100% authority in the first place.

Oh yeah, I also noticed this film was not dedicated to Casey Kasem! (I mean like how "Zombie Island" was dedicated to Don Messick, "Cyber Chase" and "Monster of Mexico" were dedicated to Bill Hanna, and "Chill Out" was dedicated to Iwao Takamoto.) But then again, this film was probably still having the finishing touches added when Casey Kasem died, and they probably did not have the time to add a dedication to him. So the next Scooby-Doo made-for-video movie, whatever it is, will probably be dedicated to him.
