This may be considered as a double thread...
What can you say about this? Real monsters, the gang in the best Halloween costumes ever, a twisty plot... Bound for the top 10!!!

I thought the classic monsters, whole gang, and setting were definitely fun. Villian and actual mystery were alright. Fun episode with funny monster and gang team up 9/10

Just watched this episode for the first time in a few years; it's definitely one of the best Scrappy-era episodes (and it comes from the season to have the best Scrappy-era theme song, too!) I enjoyed how they combined real supernatural beings with the usual "Scooby-Doo hoax" device, and the animation was decent and colorful. (As I mentioned before, Hanna-Barbera was one of the first American animation studios to use digital ink-and-paint as opposed to hand-painted cels, even before Disney! Not all "New Scooby-Doo Mysteries" episodes were digitally colored, though.) I also liked Paul Dini's writing. The Wolfman was really cool, too.

I've wondered if the digital coloring could be why this series hasn't been released on DVD? I want a hard copy so bad. I love this series.

I've wondered if the digital coloring could be why this series hasn't been released on DVD? I want a hard copy so bad. I love this series. I don't think so. "Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf" and the first season of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" have been released on DVD, and they were digitally colored. But they obviously just used the existing video masters for them; I seriously doubt the original digital animation files exist anymore, especially given how old the computer system is, and by 1991 it was sent overseas to Wang Film Productions. "Scooby-Doo in Arabian Nights" (ecch) was also digitally colored at Wang using the same computer system, and that's also been released on DVD.

Scooby-Doo writers started to take a lot of comedic inspiration from The Addams Family and The Munsters during the 80s. So much Scooby-Doo media from that decade is just them stumbling into Bobby Pickett songs.

One of the best of the series for sure, but I don't love it as much as most do unfortunately. Definitely good, but I prefer what I consider to be the other 2 of the big 3 of this series

Definitely good, but I prefer what I consider to be the other 2 of the big 3 of this series I just thought about this, but this should be released on dvd by now. You can’t tell me this isn’t one of the 50 most iconic Scooby Doo episodes of all time and shouldn’t have been on that 50 dvd set. Furthermore, you can not tell me that Now Museum Now You Don’t, Wrestle Maniacs, either Get a Clue episodes and of course, my much-used example, Ransom of Scooby Chief are on that list and more iconic than this episode. Same with Wedding Bell Boo’s

I wasnt the biggest fan of this episode. It reminded me of the Scrappy movies era (which is not my favorite) but in a less developed way
