I remember so little about this episode... I remember a Magic Mansion or something... Abd a joke from Phyllis Diller "I don't know why I call it the living room, everybody here is dead"... I certainly need to re-watch it, I think I liked it.

It's an okay episode, but Phyllis Diller doesn't really seem add much to it, other then a few funny gags. I really dug the magic mansion, and we actually knew directly who the culprit was, a first for this series, and a common theme among this particular incarnation.

I quite enjoyed this episode for the awesome house and Magic mansion. The ending was rather abrupt though

This was a very hilarious episode. In real life Phyllis Diller was only married twice.

Too much going on in this episode where none of it could be properly wrapped up. What happened to that weird Gargoyle at the beginning? Why was everyone trespassing in her mansion if one the one guy was the bad guy? I feel that everyone involved should've been arrested for conspiring with the thieves and setting Phyllis Diller up. Madame Zokar and the magician got away scot free for their involvement

She had been tempted to steal the jewels but Lucas had gotten there first to talk her out of it.

Yeah that explains her presence at the mansion but I still think that she and the magician were involved

I've always wondered what happened with the gargoyle at the beginning too! Did they just forget about it haha? I would have liked to know why everyone was in her mansion as well, when it was just Alberto that was arrested. I agree there was too much going on in the episode.

Not my favorite episodes either, I couldn't care too much for Phyllis, the plot nor the rest

Watched this one back this morning and man, is it really weird. So many minor characters that pop in and out and you're never sure who is actually directly involved with the dastardly scheme. The gargoyle came out of nowhere and the mystery just fizzled out entirely by the time the police arrived.
I did thoroughly enjoy the short sketch of the gang rushing back to Phyllis' mansion ... tree moss and river bridges going crazy, included.

Plot:A wacky episode for sure. There are many things going on, and some are never properly explained. It is the first time that we have so many suspects, but on the other hand, it seems that there were more people involved with the heist in one way or another. I think that overall, it's a weird mystery, but in a good way. 8/10 Set Up:Phyllis Diller's mansion had a creepy atmosphere and helped to build up the mystery with all these secret hideouts for the bad guys to spy on the gang. The magic mansion was awesome too.10/10 Villain(s). Let's start with the basics. What happened to the gargoyle, and who was behind it ? The phantoms had a creepy design and were decent villains. 7/10 BONUS Guest Star: Phyllis Diller was fun at first, but her narcissism tired me out eventually. Not the most interesting guest star. 5/10 Nostalgia Boost: +0 Final Score: 7.5/10

Surprisingly great episode. Like A Man Named Flintstone, a lot of Scooby tropes were established here first. There are obvious parallels with Scared A Lot In Camelot as well as other firsts.
