Recently I figured I should apply a bit more customization to my latex Scooby-Doo mask from Rubies/Mask Illusions by adding chin whiskers and giving him a larger neck and shoulders! I achieved this by taking my previous worn-out Scooby mask from years ago (as you've seen in my "Scoobyception" video from two years ago) and cutting it up, then gluing the latex pieces to my newer mask's collar using Goop/shoe glue (the same adhesive I use when making my fursuit footpaws to attach the soles). I thought it was also a good idea, as my current main body costume for Scooby does reveal a bit of my shoulders after I removed the attached hood. And hey, my modified mask now looks very much like the Ape Man's Scooby mask in "Never Ape an Ape Man!" eeHEEheeheeheeheehee!

Candy Mint was in the 1996 screenplay for Scooby Doo: The Movie. As Shaggy's love interest.

It's funny how the villains think that they can outsmart the gang, but in the end they are proven wrong.

This has got to be the oddest episode of the series. Hardly anything going on makes a hint of sense but I still find it a fun episode that's hard to dislike. It's so daft that it's actually quite endearing.

It's so daft that it's actually quite endearing. I mostly agree with this. Dognapper might take the cake for oddest one for me (towards the bottom of my list but I enjoy that one for its detective feel regardless), but I enjoy this one as well. It’s nowhere near my favorite episode but I enjoy it a lot and it’s not my least favorite either. It’s actually probably been longer since I’ve seen this one than any other of the series. At least a couple of years...

Reviewed it, just last week. ^ Far from my favourite but a bit of a guilty pleasure and one I happily rewatch, every now and again
Mystery: 6/10 Villain: 7/10 Setting: 8/10
Overall Score: 7.5/10

Plot: This is my first "so bad it's good" case. The solution was surprisingly easy compared to other episodes, and there were several aspects that didn't make sense (like how the ape man had a Scooby mask). However, all these factors combined made it quite enjoyable. 7/10 Set up: Nothing Special here 5/10 Monster: He was just a Gorilla. They are beautiful and dangerous animals but still the ape man is the weakest SDWAY villain for me 3/10
BONUS Nostalgia Boost: +0.7. For the enjoyable moments it provided me as a child
Overall a wacky episode with a lot of fun moments but a weak mystery and monster Final Score:5.7/10
