Shaphne is so much fun, fraphne is snoresville (same about Shelma, IMO, too me it's like saying only geeks can be wit geeks like how fraphne kinda says hot chicks only get with studs.) It's even clear that until GAC the writers even wanted Shaphne and Frelma, so much that Shaphne and Frelma are seen as the running pairs away from the bats in the WNSD opening, Fred and Velma to the right, Shaggy and Daph to the left. Bravo Dooby-Doo and the 90's DTV's treated Fraphne as a joke and it seemed as if SD1 was going to disregard it but...had to do ut at the end, however Fraphne has been shoved down our throats since the WNSD style films ended, even when GAC was on Fraphne was still treated like "it's a joke" despite how little they appear in it.

I don't think Shaphne was clear until after Scrappy joined. I guess you could argue Velma and Fred had a dynamic that made them seem like a married couple but we have to give credit where credit is due, Fraphhe and Shelma were dance partners.

^It wasn't clear but it there were hints every so often in every series. See "Shaggy Snacks" for one.

I didn't read every reply, but I wonder who the other one with me says "I don't care for shippings". So I don't break any ties, just mess with the percentages more! I've seen lots of weird stuff and some of it just is wrong. If the writers wanted to create that relationship (Mystery Inc. has "Shaphne") at least it won't be over-the-top. I just keep far away from this stuff.

fans like to pair up characters, and argue over which pairing is better.

fans like to pair up characters, and argue over which pairing is better. That's the point of this thread, there's no need to explain it

Imo there is too much hate on both sides, everyone should ship who they want to. Everybody has a different view. I am a HUGE fraphne fan, but this does not mean, that I hate on shaphne.

I enjoy Shaphne, but my favorite is Fraphne. Fred and Daphne's dynamic has always been really great, and they click really well, whether it's as friends or as romantic interests. They'd still be best friends even if neither of them was interested in each other. Sword and the Scoob is a really perfect example of this: their interactions feel so cute and natural, like two people in on a joke that nobody else gets.
Same with Be Cool, Scooby Doo. They understand each other in that show to a degree that other people don't; he accommodates for her quirk of the day, and she pushes back when he's being bossy.
I'm a multishipper, though, so I don't oppose fanworks of Shaphne, or most other gang pairings (including all of the gang together at once!). The only one that I actively dislike is Shelma.

Honestly I think both of these posts are perfect ways to think about shipping within the Scooby franchise. Shipping two characters together doesn't mean that you have to oppose the other ships, or hate on people for liking a different ship than you. Everyone has their own unique ships and stuff that draws them to ship certain characters together.

I mean this is probably as old as the franchise itself but here's how I'd handle it: love triangle. Love triangles can be cute and we don't need an explicit answer either, leave it a mystery
