get a clue was terrible, as long as 'be cool' isn't on that level, i'm sure i;ll like it. the thene song hopefully will be good. As in SDMI, and all recent animes, I guess we should be preparing for an instrumental of 30 seconds. Hopefully it will have a catchy tune like in SDMI.

www.toonzone.net/2014/04/toonzone-interviews-jay-bastian-tom-jerry-show/This doesn't looks so good... TOONZONE NEWS: Is this your sole gig at the moment, or is there anything else that you’re working on that you can tell us about? JAY BASTIAN: Another thing we can talk about is that there’s a new Scooby-Doo that we’ve got coming out. A cool Scooby-Doo that I’m working on, and it’s really funny and great. It’ll be a while until it’s on the air, but it was just recently announced. The last Scooby-Doo we did was a little more intense, and a little scarier. This new one is much more cartoony and silly. It’s like Tom and Jerry, still being true to the essence of who these characters are, but I think people are really going to like it. What we’ve got so far is really funny. Thanks to Scooby-Doo Network Center Argentina - or simply our friend leonel - for sharing this.

"True to the essence of who these characters are"? Ha! As if, the characters have been severely degraded since the 90's and haven't been themselves in a long time, save for the most part Shaggy and Scooby. Even they have been degraded to an extent. Unless Daphne is portrayed as a mature leader again and is with Shaggy, she won't be herself. Still, Scooby CAN work as being caroony and silly...I'll save my judgements until we get more news.

Oh great so it is from that same line. Not really enthused much. Plus that line about staying true to influence really stands as a "really?" Since from what i saw that last scooby series so desperately wanted to be the "smart" scooby, was quite a bit lacking in what it was that made them popular in the first place.
Also i find the whole of that interview seems to confirm a split amongst WBanimation in there in terms of what is done for Cartoon Network. Especially with the reference to separate teams on the T&J shows. I also can't help but find it funny the guy championing the CN boots seems to have started on the musical one and stopped being credited on productions of scooby post that the poking fun at MI became evident.
I guess i'll still give this show the chance at first, but now i feel like it's all but confirmed i'll be holding onto the previous statement of enjoying the dtv much better, but i'll still be fair and hope i'm wrong.

Actually, I was hoping for another series like SDMI, so I'm sort of disappointed now. Hopefully this one will still be good though!
Btw, thanks scoob16 for the info.

Hmmm see, as a 22 year old fan, I loved MI. It was a more adult scooby-doo that I really enjoyed. So yeah, it seems they wanna reach out to a more kid audience with this new show. I guess we will have to wait and see how this turns out. I really, really hope it will be good.

Anytime, folks! I also liked SDMI for the same reason, as well as recent DTVs.

As long as they stay away from relationships in this one...I'll be fine. MI went overboard with that and severely degraded Fred, Velma, and Daphne. I'm tired of Fraphne being in every single Scooby production since 1997. It's been done to death and hasn't done Fred and Daphne any justice. While I did love MI and its overall plot, it's going to be a nice break going back to a more light-hearted Scooby show.

Hmm, not sure i particularly like the animation style but i'll keep an open mind until it airs, as long as the characters get a chance to be the best versions of themselves without the recent degrading of character traits that happens here and there and there's a good mystery to enjoy alongside a fun adventure with Scooby getting a good role i'll be happy

When you say that do you mean more akin to silly 7 minute adventures or the later CN boot sitcom setting. I'd be game for the former but the later seems to be a bit less desirable.
However as long as the new shows are on Cartoon Network, any such project will no doubt adhere to their standard. And that would be a big "NO!". Now in a direct to video special, maybe if some more fans of that era join the table. Which i'm guessing aren't as represented currently. But some things slip through.

It'll be nice to go back to a light-hearted Scooby. I really hope they don't focus on the relationship front on this one too.
