If we'd do something like this, all people would think we're crazy, 'cause Halloween isn't that popular in Germany. The most we do is maybe putting a Jack O'Lantern on our doorsteps. We don't have the tradition of children ringing on doorbells over here. (Too bad. I would love to go as Scooby  ) |

We decorated our house like crazy this year. Halloween is fun to take the kids around trick-or-treating. None of them are going to be a Scooby character though...too bad!

As I said, we don't pull the trick-or-treating over here. Though we do something kinda similar, on St. Martin's day. There we have kids going around with lanterns instead of costumes, when they ring at a door, they sing a Martin's song and get sweets ^^
Do Americans do that on St. Martin?
