I find it interesting that Velma's muppeteer in this is the same girl who did Jody on Puzzle Place, the voice gave it away for those of you that watched PBS on school days in the 90's and early 00's. I also got the pup feel of this.

Whyboy's love of Puppetry has betrayed him as he views one of the most disjointedly boring Scooby-Doo movies, Scooby-Doo Adventures: The Mystery Map. ENJOY!

One thing I found out from my interview with Stephanie D'Abruzzo (which you can find somewhere on Scoobypedia) is that this movie was actually intended to be a pilot for a Scooby-Doo series done with puppets.

Scooby puppets, interesting, but um...the movement should have probably been done a little differently. Maybe use walkabouts on skewed perception sets, it would probably work better, the live hand just looks akward here. Also...Fred & Daphne's voices needed more work. Velma, Shaggy and Scooby are alright though.

Velma, Shaggy and Scooby are alright though. With the exception of Velma, all the Mystery Map voices are done by their regular VAs. But because of the show being based off of Pup, they're all higher pitched to sound younger which may be why they seem off.

This one just isn't for me. I didn't like the puppets and it was pretty boring. I would've been a lot more interested in an animated Pup Named Scooby Doo movie but that probably would've been far more disappointing without Casey Kasem or the humor that wasn't nearly as sharp in this movie. Pass
