As you may know the movie is available for rental only at VUDU as of today so I finally had the chance to watch it. It's a great film! It's alot more comedy oriented then the others but still has some action moments that will keep you in suspense. Also for the Daphne/Fred fans this is definatley the movie for you since their romance is heavily hinted throughout the movie. The phantom is very unpredictable to figure out and you will see why as you watch the movie.
Here are some fun facts:
1. There are 5 phantoms in the movie. 2. Fred and Daphne kiss. 3. Fred and Daphne sing together. 4. It's discovered that Fred sleeps with a net. (LOL) 5. During the end credits their is a clip that leads to the gang finding their next mystery. 6. Scooby-Doo doesn't realize he's actually a dog through the movie. 7. There isn't a "What's New Scooby-Doo" theme song as aluded in the credits. (hopefully next movie)
Overall great fun film that's fun for the family to watch. Recommended.

Exactly!! Lol what happens is there's this guy in the movie who scared of germs and yells something along the lines of, "You can't have a dog in the theater they have germs!!" and Scooby goes "Rog where??" and starts looking around. It was funny.

I just watched it.
OH. MY. GOD.
I'd say the action sequence near the end of the movie rivals that of 'Camp Scare', in terms of suspense and legit danger. And being from Chicago just makes it a total win-win for me. This is a must-see at all costs. Let's put it this way, 'Alien Invaders' just got booted off of my all-time top 5 list. I'm actually convinced that, despite the previews and marketing, the recent Scooby movies (most notably this one) are being targeted to an older demo...which is fine by me if it means better sales. The writing is smarter, the plot points a little (sometimes a lot) more mature, and the edge-of-your seat moments of danger were enough to keep me hooked. Not since 'Camp Scare', and 'Zombie Island' and 'Witch's Ghost' before that have I been seriously impressed with the product that is being put out. When the studio revamped the franchise in '98, they created a movie that, while designed for kids, had enough content to bring the adults back. WB has finally realized (with the 'Abracadabra Doo'-present releases) that all the movies could channel the spirit of 'Zombie Island', and keep people coming back. That first release 15 years ago is what got me interested (obsessed) with Scooby Doo. At 6, it freaked me out but made me want more. I'm 21 now, and have the same feeling like I had back then after watching this film.
I give 'Stage Fright' an A...maybe even an A+, and I'm watching it again right now.

This movie is great and gets better with every watch. My expectations were high and the movie did not disappoint me in the slightest. It handled the romance aspect remarkably well. I wasn't sure how the next movies would go if they overdid it in this one, that worried me. But they left it at a good point the next movies will be able to branch off of that nicely.
The action part was good, is it just me or are the gang getting chased by more psychos with knives and axes who actually seem to want them dead these days? Back when I was little I would always question why no one ever turned around and tried to beat the monster who was chasing them up, giving them weapons answers that question.
They managed to make this one enjoyable for adults and kids. My 6 year old nephew could watch it without getting too scared (he couldn't watch zombie island) and my grandma could watch it without getting bored.
I've watched it 4 times in the past 24 hours and have re watched my favorite parts countless times. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

It's great to hear that the film is that enjoyable for you! I'm also pleased to read 24994j's comments that it ranks up there with Camp Scare, Zombie Island & Witch's Ghost, which are among my all-time favorites. You guys have upped my anticipation for Stage Fright

I give Scooby Doo Stage Fright 5 stats easily! The action is great and the relationship stuff was balanced out nicely leaving a cliff hanger for the next movies to come. I have never enjoyed Scooby and Shaggy scenes more than I did in this movie! They're so entertaining and funny to watch. My absolute favorite part of theirs would be. (Shaggy) "Like Scoob, I can't sleep!" (Scooby) "Me either!....You want the bed?" I laughed so hard! I think the best part had to be the chase scene towards the end! I look forward to the epic ending moments in the movies now! I've noticed something though, they seem to be adding more kids characters in these movies. Camp Scare had Luke and Trudy, Blue Falcon had the little boy with green hair whom's name escapes me at the moment, and in this movie we had Emma and Christine. Just noticed that I think adding Fraphne to this movie was a good thing! (And I'm not just saying that cause I'm a fanatic) Many people didn't watch SD:MI and so they've never really seem their relationship move like this. It's a big step for the people who've been watching since the 70's waiting for the kiss to happen. Now I'm interested to see if that will be brought up in the next film. I'm not sure about anyone else but I could defiantly see these movies going outside the comfort zone and possibly making Fred and Daphne a married couple? Similar to Pebbles and Bam Bam. I just get the feeling that could happen but hey! Maybe I'm crazy? Overall this is one of THE BEST there is and is perfect for all ages! Great family movie! I'll be buying the DVD!
