After watching "Reluctant Werewolf" again this week, I remembered that it ended on a cliffhanger. How would you like to end the movie, if you could?

It ended on a cliff Hanger? WE NEED ENDING!!!
Also I think it would be awesome to have an Alien Invader 2. Where they are in Lizard Man territory and it turns out to be Crystal's boyfriend coming after Shaggy. However there is also a second monster that is a criminal who takes the blame when Crystal leaves with her boyfriend. Maybe eventually have a series with Shaggy, Scooby, and Crystal and Amber all solving Mysteries with every episode having a guest star wether from the gang or the gangs past or another cartoon on the network.

For anyone who hasn't seen the movie, this is how it ended: Shaggy thinks he is rid of the monsters in Dracula's castle forever, but then the monsters come to the window and says "That's what he thinks," and then the credits roll.
I think it might be a good idea to have the first werewolf come back, and then the monsters would leave Shaggy alone.

I wonder if they left it open because they thought at the time they could do a 2nd part to the movie, but then they just decided to create new movies and not part 2.

I think Drac got pissed off and the sequel is Hotel Transylvania!
Reluctant Werewolf is still one of my favorite movies. I REALLY pray for a pristine original somewhere so we can get a clean HD Bluray transfer soon.

OT but Hotel Transylvania was a great movie. Took my nephew and we both had a great time.

I remember wanting sequel to this, it was a weird way to end the film. Wonder if they wanted to a sequel to this? Or they had a series idea??

This would be awesome! That can work, I'm still hoping for my Scooby Doo: Coast to Coast idea. Essentially like the George Norry/Art Bell Coast To Coast Radio show with a Webcast video component also broadcast on Public Broadcasting. This way they can mix 'real ghost evidence' with baddies in masks in the same series. Also, this aligns them with Media and lets us get guest stars.

good thinking CB. as for the ending. they were likely going to use dracula again in another film, but perhaps the movie didnt do well enough in the ratings.

For the record someone over at another forum had a marketing document from years ago that Hanna Barbera were planning a second series of Superstars 10 movies. These were all pretty much approved before the Turner buy out and were mostly all scrapped. While i've heard mixed reports of what 10 they were but i've heard the only two that ever got made of that batch were Jonny's Golden Quest and the Flintstones Christmas Carol, which happened later in the 90s.
Other things rumored to have been on that list included: Another western movie but this time featuring Quick Draw McGraw, a Magilla Gorilla movie involving an opera, a movie where Yogi Bear is shipped off to Siberia and meets a circus bear named Yaki Bear, a follow up to the Flintstones and Jetsons movie taking them to Ancient Rome (where another Hanna Barbera family just happens to be, aka the Roman Holidays).
However you'll notice the one major character that should have had a project there, that's not there. Scooby Doo. I think it's possible a sequel to Reluctant Werewolf might have also been penciled in for that batch. Since Scooby had 3 of the original batch, i can't believe there wasn't at least one Scooby in the second batch.
