Sweet ending with Velma and her mom. After her near-meltdown in episode 48, Velma needed a hug.

I thought that this episode was ok. I liked the part with Scooby making the plant into a sculpture of himself! We also now know where that last picture of the ruins is from too. Poor Velma!!!! She seems to be having a lot of trouble wrapping her head around the evil annunahki/entity. I also liked the ending. It was very bittersweet!! One question though, how is the heart of the jaguar going to help them stop the evil annunahki? Tonight, the end literally begins..............

Angie Dinkley is wicked cool! It's good for Velma to see how true beauty from her mother made such a lasting impression, and how she has the potential for the same lasting impression inside herself. It seems like a mythic hero transformation that the gang are having their biggest vulnerabilities addressed and healed before going into the final battle. Fred's family issues and Velma's insecurity have been large ongoing plots since season one, so it feels right for them to be addressed like this before they confront a manipulative alien entity who would want to use those weaknesses against them. Angie even helped Velma deal with the prospect of working the supernatural into her world view.
I'm suspecting that the gang will have to use the four keys and Scooby will have to wield the Heart of the Jaguar. Very intrigued by exactly what the writers have planned.

BTW, What does Mayor Nettles have to do with the haunted treasure? She said she had a dream that they(the gang) needed her. Were the annunahki visiting her too?

BTW, What does Mayor Nettles have to do with the haunted treasure? She said she had a dream that they(the gang) needed her. Were the annunahki visiting her too? It sounds like the Annunaki visited her, because her help would be needed to bring the spear back to Crystal Cove. The gang is taking both a historical antiquity and a weapon across the international border. So apparently she's using her "political power", military connections, and/or possibly piloting abilities to smuggle the artifact back home for them. It should have been safer now in the dreaming state, since El Aliguerre has been rendered powerless. Hopefully, nothing bad happens to Mayor Nettles as a result of the dream.

This episode was pretty good!
I liked the villain, and the episode overall. Developed some great new plotline with Angie Dinkley.

Decent episode, and nice to see Velma's mom in a role that was intergal to the plot.
It seems to me that she and Velma's dad might be the only parents in the show(to this point) that are somewhat normal in this series. I also enjoyed Mrs. Dinkley helping Velma out in her understanding of the world of the supernatural and the paranormal.
I've said many times on message boards and in chat rooms that it seems like a total cop out by the writers every time the gang encounters real supernatural friends or foes... except for Shaggy and Scooby for the most part.
However, it seems to me that having Velma realize that maybe there are real supernatural forces in the world is a step in the right direction.

Cool episode, though Enrique went to extreme lengths for his blind love! The 'Heart of the Jaguar' sounds cool!
