Robbie Ammel might be a good actor, he's just not Fred. This movie would have been perfect if they used the original live-action Scooby cast, as the plot was pretty good.

Am I the only one who thought Nick Palatas was better as Shaggy than Matthew Lillard? Because I really did. I thought this Shaggy was a lot funnier, more clumsy like cartoon-Shaggy and his bond with Scooby was a lot better done than in the movies. Like you could practically feel the friendship between the two of them. Matthew Lillard was okay in Spooky Island movie but I do think Shaggy and Scooby's bond was shown much better in this movie.

I think they would've been a little too old for this movie back in 2002. It would've been more unrealistic than Matthew Lillard talking to thin air.

To me this movie seems like it was essentially a Shaggy movie. It begins with Shaggy, and he's the outcast with no real interests (unlike the others who have something). He finds Scooby as a best friend then finds acceptance in the gang. I believe that's the real plot of the story, and makes it more realistic than the others because of it.

This movie has a really low rating on imdb but I really liked it. The cartoon effects mixed with the live action were done pretty well. This movie inspired me to go off to college actually, even though I felt like a reject. Things didn't work out but it was fun. I always carried around a sandwich like Shaggy haha.

Too many people sleep on this movie. It's pretty low budget and corny but it has a lot of heart to it and certainly captures the feel of Scooby-Doo better than the James Gunn movies. It perfectly modernizes the setting without feeling forced and does a good job at capturing the gang's friendship.

I felt like the mystery and effects were underwhelming but everything else like their interacting and the actors delivering lines was good
