SPOILERS!
This was a great episode! The old Mystery Inc is now beyond evil, Pericles tried to destroy the town! The episode reminded me a lot of "The Midinight Zone."
Also, the villains were really cool! I was shocked that Brad and Judy were OK with nearly killing their old dog just for the disc. Can't wait for "Dance of the Undead." It's getting exciting!

I couldn't help but notice, at the shot when one of the skeleton cows at the start breaks that wooden beam, they use that quick stereotypical "wood breaking" sound that almost every episode uses every time something made of wood breaks (and this isn't the one Hanna-Barbera used to use, it's a more newer faster-sounding impact, in addition to newly-created crashes the show uses as well.)

So much better than the previous episode. As for the spoilers well the Childes have joined Pericles in the 'morally irredeemable' category, the only one who seemed unsure about things was Mr. E.

I still could have used a Flying Ghost Bull Helo.

Oh yeah, did anyone else also catch the reference to "The Lion King" near the end? (I'm not going to spoil any details!)
Wow, a helicopter exploded? Seems a LOT of modes of transportation are getting wrecked/blown up on this show. We had car wrecks, a train derailment, and now this! (And then an airplane crash in "Dance of the Undead," but no spoilers here!) This show seriously needed a TV-PG rating, getting away with all this graphic violence on a TV-Y7-FV rating, while its sister series "The Looney Tunes Show" IS rated TV-PG but is completely tame and has nearly no violence, innuendos, gore or anything like that (that show could easily get a TV-G rating with its content!)

Not to mention that the lights went out again. ;D Pericles apparently means business now concerning stopping the Gang. Now it's getting good...

Is it just me, or is Mr. E becoming more pathetic and weaker, even more so than Brad and Judy?

Is it just me, or is Mr. E becoming more pathetic and weaker, even more so than Brad and Judy? Yes, he is. In "The Devouring" he is electroshocked by Professor Pericles after some issue between the two.

I liked this episode. Brad and Judy are becoming more despicable by the episode!!!! I couldn't believe they tried to kill Nova!!! The helicopter scenes were also really good too. It was relieving to see Mayor Nettles wasn't at City Hall when Brad and Judy set it aflame in the last episode. Lots of twists and turns in this episode, and overall very suspenseful.

It wasn't just Nova they were trying to kill, there were 7 others on that helicopter aside from Nova. It is possible that Mr. E is having seconds doubts as to if this is worth it, it is possible he may even turn against Pericles in the end.

It's up on Watch Cartoons Online. Very potent episode. I see Ricky, Brad and Judy turning on Pericles before long. That bird is becoming a psychotic megalomaniac.
Throwing this out--if Pericles does get his claws on the treasure, there's a good chance he'll find some way to eliminate the other three. No honor among thieves.
