I think Fred is always going to be jealous of Daphne's crush. What needs to stop is Daphne always having a crush.
I was okay with it this time, because it added to the story. It caused Fred to lie about being a pole vaulter, and I liked that part of the story.

I just bought the new dvd yesterday. I was very impressed with the episode! I wish they would do a series with this animation style and just the style of it in general. Was pretty obvious who the guy was who did it. But, none the less, I loved every second of it and am very pleased with it.

Was pretty obvious who the guy was who did it. But, none the less, I loved every second of it and am very pleased with it. That is what I have been saying! I hope a new series comes of this too. For some reason there are only a couple of times where I have guessed and have been right about who it was behind the mask. This wasn't one of those times for me. I thought there were a lot of suspects.

How much are the Spooky Games like the old laff-a-lympics?

How much are the Spooky Games like the old laff-a-lympics? They are not alike. "Spooky Games" is a new episode with the animation style like the latest movies have been. All members of the gang are in the new episode and solve a mystery. In Laff-A-Lympics episodes, three teams of various Hanna-Barbara characters compete for the gold in wacky sporting events in places all around the world.

Solved a mystery, like where did all the security guards go?

Ddidn't strike much of a chord as the premise--Shaggy running fastest in a competition when he's scared--was done before in the 1973 Scooby Doo Movies episode "The Spirited Spooked Sports Show." The ending worked for me, though.

Solved a mystery, like where did all the security guards go? I don't know what you mean by that. London centric joke, the company paid to provide security for the real olympics dropped the ball and over 4000 troops had to be drafted in to plug the gap.

Yeah I've been reading about that the past couple weeks. A real fiasco.

I had a conversation with Michael Borkowski, the artist for SDMI and Spooky Games. He said that Spooky Games he thought was going to be a direct to DVD movie, but it turned out to be an episode. It is more of a special than part of a series, and he hasn't heard anything about it becoming a series or doing more episodes like it.

Oh yeah, I liked the episode. I liked the animation and the villain. It was a great episode to make with the Olympics going on. It kind of makes the characters seem a little more real when you add in current events.
