Best SD:MI episode ever? It was the best Scooby-Doo episode ever, period! Mr. E and the others got played like a toy piano.

This is absolutely the best Scooby-Doo episode ever, and I usually would never say that unless there is large amount of Fraphne involved, which sadly there was barely anything. I have no words to describe how amazing it was that the gang was behind the mystery and that they tricked the original Mystery Inc., even Pericles. It was so epic, I was totally fan-girling during this whole episode. And what a cliffhanger... I can't wait until tomorrow!!

It was a really neat episode! I don't know if I would call it the best SD episode ever though.

I wouldn't either. Best SDMI episode though. Yea, probably. I liked "Night Terrors" a lot too. There are still several more to come, so saying "so far" might be suitable.

Well stated nickle, although all i remember of Wild Wild West was that terrible 1999 film with Will Smith and kevin Kline as West and Gordon. SD MI is definitekly the most graphic of the Scooby Series whether or not they continue in this view in the next series remains to be seen..

I was just watching the episode back (for the third time) and noticed that Velma actually says Google and uses it in verb form! LOL

The ending surprised me quite a bit, along with how they pulled off the mystery. I also noticed this episode used quite a bit of the old Hanna-Barbera sound effects, compared to how some previous episodes had NONE at all. I guess they're sort of inconsistent when it comes to the sound effects... And for the record, this was ANOTHER episode that was produced by Warner Bros. Animation South Korea (a.k.a. DongWoo Animation Co. Ltd)

By the way, Scooby took Brad and Judy's dog from them, too, his "girlfriend". I wonder if this means we'll start seeing her with The Gang. Isn't it interesting how Shaggy doesn't feel threatened by her like Scooby was with Velma?

Isn't it interesting how Shaggy doesn't feel threatened by her like Scooby was with Velma? He seemed pretty put out when Scooby was hanging around with Nova in Hodag. Mind you Shagggy's been taking some lessons at the school of hard knocks, he knows what he put Velma through.

Mind you Shagggy's been taking some lessons at the school of hard knocks, he knows what he put Velma through. Hm. I think I should have put it another way: Scooby's not considering how Shaggy feels. Scooby's only thinking about his own needs, and not Shaggy's like Shaggy did with Scooby after Shaggy dumped Velma for Scooby. Too bad Luna wasn't around when Shaggy and Velma were together. I suspect with her there, Shaggy and Velma would have still been together because Luna would have taken Scooby's attention away from Shaggy and Velma.

Yeah, I don't plan on reading more of it. I sure wish that these episodes would be uploaded faster, though... I always end up a day or two behind >w< Episode 38's on Amazon and Itunes for $2.99, but they both call it "Where Stalks the Scarebear" instead of "Scarebear." Thanks! I just finished watching Scarebear and this episode on there!
And damn... I have to agree with all of you, this episode was awesome! All the unexpected twists totally blew me away- I thought maybe the pieces were a fake, but I had no idea their plan would be that elaborate. Or that they were technically the monster! But then again, that's Freddy for ya...
I can't wait for Heart of Evil to come out online now!

Here's a little something interesting for everyone... screenshots of Velma's book about Krampus where you can read what it has to say. Some funny stuff there, but I wonder if it's significant that the book mentions the possibility that Krampus might have inherited his powers (knowing when kids are bad or good) from aliens that visited Earth thousands of years ago and that he might even be a hybrid of an alien and an earth animal. It's in the final paragraph of the first scan. Some words are cut off but you get the meaning (plus the facing page on each scan is the same text, so you can look for more words as Velma's head moves in the scene.) Nibiru and Krampus both mentioning aliens in the same episode. Very interesting, indeed.
