Guys I was watching this episode and noticed a few clues not mentioned. Remember that weird teen that was found in the closet. They never revealed who he was or why he was there. When the gang started running the dude completely dissappeared. He's not seen going into the room or anything. Also that superfan was seen in the same arena that the Monster kidnapped the writer in moments before. Velma found that his backpack had books in it and called him Hatecrafts assistant but Hatecraft refers to him as a super fan he didn't really know. If he was a superfan why was his backpack full of books? What did the fact that the notes from his "fans" all looked like the same hand writing mean?
We didn't get many answers in this episode and after watching it a few times we have yet to get the answers.

^ by the sounds of it the episode may have been rushed from Storyboard to screen for franchising...I'm not sure but that's what has happened in many cartoons.
I liked this episode and i did not exactly see the bad guy coming but it was fun to watch. the Vegan place and the fact that its the only place that has food for miles was quite hilarious and stupid. Why would there not be a place for food for miles on a College campus without using the cafeteria? if this makes sense.

Seeing the gang apart was really sad... But I was quite surprised that Shaggy and Scooby came to the rescue of someone crying for help, even if the food was terrible... The chanting was the best, and the villain was totally cool!

This one was a lot of fun and and hilarious. I loved that they made fun of HP Lovecraft and it was super funny to see him admit he was fake.

Loved this one, saw this as a big step up from The Secret Serum. I found this to be one of the funniest episodes of the series with all of the parodies. Harlan Ellison was excellent here
