Just saw the episode tonight. It was a good one. I can't wait to find out what's in those archives they found. So I have to ask because the ending credit are so small you can't read them, was that actually Harlan Ellison voicing his character? Or did he consent? Reason I ask is because H.P. Hatecraft and the Che Guevara 'protest guy' were fake characters that played on their real-life counterparts' names, but Harlan is real. I've been reading that he's not well at the moment and stated he may be near death. I post on some Trek sites and there's a been a thread going on about him recently. I loved how he raked Shaggy over the coals for saying 'Like' too much. His comments throughout the episode were pretty characteristic of some of his critical writing. The villain was pretty cool too, and I really liked the sonic scream visual effect. Mark

Forgot to mention, but I guess tonight's episode could be considered SD:MI's version of an updated New Scooby-Doo Movies ep.
Scooby-Doo Meets Harlan Ellison. Who would've ever thought.

Wow, I just did some checking and that really was Harlan. The link below is to an author's site who reviews the episode. He's written a number of Star Trek and other science fiction novels and posts regularly at the Trek board I mentioned. Funny, he's not a Scooby fan but really likes SD:MI. Warning, he posts a few things some might not agree with, but also has some interesting thoughts at the end about Shaggy and Scooby's reaction to the vegan food. I never know about Casey Kasem's views on this, and am not sure why Christopher would be but he's one of those types that seems to be familiar with everything. Here's his review... christopherlbennett.wordpress.com/2010/10/18/scooby-doo-meets-cthulhu-and-harlan-ellison/

I loved this episode. Nice to see Scooby warming up to Velma. Yes, definitely. Gee, I wonder what he apologized to Velma for? (I ask sarcastically)

I just saw it and I really liked it. Scooby was heaps sweet but Velma had to go all Queen Jerk on us again. I couldn't stop laughing in the scene that they were being chased by the monster. Fred in his undies cracked me up. And when Fred said that thing to Daphne, "Gotcha, I am not thinking about anything" or something like that, it must of really hurt, and i thought they were a couple, but in this episode they seemed not to be.

How'd Velma go Queen Jerk? What did she do to earn that title? ;D

Hmm, I kinda thought they started making up a little in this episode, but maybe I'm forgetting something. I'll have to rewatch it.

Just watched the episode tonight. I liked it, was nice to see the gang make up and I loved that Scooby and Velma were kinda warming up to each other. The mystery itself was pretty predictable lol. I liked the villian though, was pretty creepy looking. I can`t wait to see all the archives and such, should be really cool.

Mark when it seemed that they were going to make up, but then Velma had to go ruin it. I think in one ep it would be funny (but sad) if Shaggy and Velma made up and they both were mad at Shaggy. Well something like that
