Correct me if i'm wrong, but is this the episode that was called The Shrieking Horror? I think it was because I saw a few months before the series started that an actor named Jeffrey Combs would be voicing a character in this episode and it would be an H.P. Lovecraft caricature called H.P. Hatecraft.

Hmm, wonder if it will have anything to do with the roller derby. Didn't the guy who won the auction last episode win tickets to the Lady Banshee's Roller Derby team game or something?
Has anyone seen any previews for this at all?

But things don’t go as planned when a creature called CHAR GAR GOTHAKON begins terrorizing the campus. Turns out this beast is a fictional character come to life. A creation of the author H.P. HATECRAFT who is a professor at the school. Although one of the other professors, HARLAN ELLISON, claims Hatecraft is a fraud, the creature is definitely real. And when it attacks and carries off Hatecraft to his doom, the gang realizes it has to come together once again to solve this mystery and save Hatecraft’s life."

I figured so, because I read something like that a long time ago, like a couple of months before the series started. Interesting that apparently at the beginning the gang is broken up, but by the end it seems like they'll be like any classic rock band and reunite because they realize they liked doing what they do, or for money.

I'm liking the looks of the episode so far, it really does look like the gang is split up right now but I do think they'll get back together at the end, if not I'll be shocked. Than again, Velma was the reason they split in the first place, she may feel she's not ready yet. I hope Velma and Shaggy work on there friendship soon, don't want them back together as a couple for sure.

Much better, after the big disappointment Saturday I'm glad they had an excellent episode if this one feel flat I WOULD CRY. but it was really good to say the least. SPOILER**SPOILER**TURN BACK NOW**SPOILER The villain was easy enough but I was guessing the actual writer at first along with the fan after he was proven innocent, it was clear. I liked how Velma and Scooby nearly had a truce and how the gang didn't stay mad at one another long. The classic burger restant being vegan was hilarious, talk about disappointment As for the big mystery at the end I'm excited
