So I now have a new favorite episode of SD:MI. Just got a chance to watch my DVR copy tonight. This one was the creepiest yet IMO. And the Mr. E backstory really took off. I wonder if we've really seen the last of "Alice May". Plus it's more than just Mr. E now, it's more of a conspiracy.
Mr. E could be one of those kids, only grown up now. The Mr. E in Mystery, Inc.? What was interesting too is that the gang never said, "hey, that's our name". So apparently they weren't using that name themselves before?
I agree, the Vincent Van Ghoul parts were really good. A nice touch, and kinda touching in a way too since Vincent Price was real and worked on the show before. A nice way to remember him.
I'm really anxious for the mystery to keep developing. I wonder if the phrase at the end where Mr. E's 'accomplice' said the mystery "beneath" Crystal Cove was meant to be taken litterally? They did find the locket underground, and the caverns from The Man Crab seemed pretty extensive. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
Can't wait for next week.

Hey guys! I'm new here =). Anyways, back to the topic. I liked the episode - I thought it was very important for the Mr. E storyline. I also liked the Creeper flashbacks. I wonder if they will have other flashbacks in the future. The Van Ghoul cameo was kind of cool too. I wonder if he will actually show up in a later episode in person.

Oh, forgot to mention. No one would likely remember or know about this, but that very first scene...where Alice May takes off her cute girl mask and reveals herself as a horrible looking ghost and scares the bee-jinkies out of the boy...reminded me of another show.
Kolchack: The Night Stalker from the mid-70's. Inspiration for the X-files. There was an episode about a succubus I think it was that stole the souls or lifeforce or something from young men. The first scene shows this college couple stealing away to a cemetery or something to make-out. They're laying on the ground kissing and then you hear this weird laugh, and the guy looks up from their kiss smiling, only to see a hideous dried up zombie like face only inches away. He starts screaming and is found dead the next morning, apparently from a heart attack brought on by extreme fright. That scene creeped me out big-time when I first saw it. The series is on DVD.
Wonder if the writers were familiar with it?

Thanks. I just read something really interesting just now concerning the "missing kids". Apparently... Sheriff Stone - Ricky Owens Fred Sr. - Brad Chiles Angel Dynamite - Cassidy Williams But the Professor Pericles and Judy Reeves are not identified yet. I also notice Fred doesn't have a mom (or she wasn't introduced yet). If this is true, is the disappearance of that particular member the reason they split up? P.S. This post assumes two things - that the 4 missing teens are not truly missing, and that, since Brad Chiles and Judy Reeves are depicted together, Fred's mom might be Judy Reeves.

maybe the reason the series is called Scooby Doo mystery incorporated is because of caption or what the olader kids call themselves. And I am pretty sure that Angel is Cassidy a.k.a Me(grrrr my name is Cassidy lol) that was probobly why she acted so wierd but who knows we just have too see

One thing I found interesting was that Mr. E had to sneak an old yearbook to the gang so they could find out about the old Mystery Inc team. Because all references to them had been cut-out off all the newspapers, etc.
So that implies it was someone else who went to great lengths to bury the mystery of what happened to those kids, not Mr. E.
So there's some unknown entity out there trying to keep all this hidden, and Mr. E who's trying to help the gang uncover it. Or at least that's how it sounds at the moment.
Does that make sense?

Mark So far, thats the case. Maybe there will be some unexpected turn of events later on that changes everything. Mr. E seems like the good guy now... well, kind of. He wants the gang to find out about the missing children, but right now it is unclear what he expects to gain from it, if anything.

That's my take on all of it too. Too soon to tell who are the good guys or the bad guys. Those trying to keep the mystery a secret could be hiding something, or could be trying to protect the gang from whatever fate those earlier kids met.

This episode was really awesome! The Alice May ghost monster was really creepy looking. Velma is still ticking me off a bit, lol. I`ve grown to really like Daphne(never really liked her in any other series to be honest). I really like how the series is coming a long thus far. Glad to hear all of us pretty much agree! ;D

Hmm, just remembered. This episode had the prom scene mentioned previously, but I don't recall hearing the song by Grey Delisle?
I remember music, but nothing with singing. Did I miss it?
Wonder if they cut it out, or if that's actually in a different episode?
