I aalways wonder where the people who posted this info on wiki got the info from. I really don't think they just made it up on the spot. They must have a source.Right?.

It's confirmed by Toonzone that Ep.13 is called "When the Cicada Calls" not "Return of Mr. Hyde".

Cartoon Network has a 5 minute sneak peak of the episode up! www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/scoobydoomysteryinc/index.htmlSPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The way Shaggy got the note and the note in reply to Fred's question.... as mysterious as a stun gun becoming ductaped to your arm? Velma's still pissed at Scooby. I will reserve further thought to this next week. Fred asking out Daphne, and getting rejected. The cicada monster is very scary if you think of something like that in reality.

Thanks for posting. Just when you thought Scooby and Velma were warming up to each other, Velma's still acting like a jerk. And that professer guy reminded me of Ben Ravencroft for some reason.

I don't get why Velma is still acting like a jerk to Scooby, being mean to him doesn't solve a thing. If any thing, it'd make Shaggy dislike her more cuz of that, I mean Scooby's his best friend for crying out loud. I miss the old Velma that I was annoyed with frrom the Scooby-Doo Where Are You? She may have been sarcastic at times, but she wasn't a jerk like this.

I think, in either this episode, or another down the line, that something that threatens Velma's life will occur, Scooby will rescue her and all will be copacetic with them again. It's cartoon kismet, n'est ce pas?

Hopefully at least but a giant cicada does seem life threatening, then again so does a robotic dog and a shrieking banshee that can blast cars over with its yell.

Probably because every time she sees Scooby, she's reminded of how humiliating it is to be rejected for a dog, and have just about everyone know about it (think Fred's dad in Shrieking Madness. Why would the mayor care about it, of all people?). I don't think she can just forget about it and get over it like that. It's going to take time, something else I like about this newest incarnation. There's no hurry to move on and rush to put behind what happened to the next mystery. Yes, Velma shouldn't be mean to Scooby, but Scooby should continue to be understanding and kind to Velma, if nothing else prove he's the more mature of the two (and providing additional humiliation to Velma). At the risk of offending any females on this board (and I don't mean to, believe me) but aren't women a bit more prone to hold on to more emotional situations (such as a relationship) than men are? Besides, I like "this" Velma. Heck, someone's got to stand in her corner, right? She seems more real now, and not just be the typical brainiac of the group. She's always been somewhat sarcastic from the beginning, as you've posted, so this shouldn't be that much of a surprise. I still wish and hope we'll somehow find out how she and Shaggy had gotten together in the first place, so we'll see who went after who. I sincerely believe if she hadn't put Shaggy on the spot like she did (pushing aside the pants, "like", massive unhealthy eating thing, and ESPECIALLY the ultimatum), she'd still be with him. Certainly Shaggy could use a wee bit of improvement in the way he does things. I mean, that food's going nowhere, save for down his stomach. I have sympathy for Velma, in case you haven't guessed already. She's a good person who's gotten something of a bad rap to me. She still does care about Shaggy (and Scooby). Perhaps we can cut her a little slack.

Wow, I'm never the first one to review. Anyway, I kind of liked this episode. The cicada creature was cool, and it was nice not to have the Shaggy/ Velma drama in this one. Can't wait for episode 14, whenever that is.

Can't wait for episode 14, whenever that is. Spoilers! Ah, but was it nice to have the Velma/ Scooby drama instead? ;D It seems that Velma's transferred her anger towards ol' Scoob now, and Shaggy's gotten off. Kind to think of it, Velma said she couldn't stay mad at Shaggy because he was a part of her in Shrieking Madness. I hope there's a method to this misplaced anger of Velma's like there was to the relationship with Shaggy and Velma... Obviously, the teacher was a red herring. I should've seen that the old woman who founded the recipe was the culprit. Interesting how she warned Mystery Inc. to stay out of it, too. Their rep is apparently getting so good, the villain takes the time to go to the length of taking them seriously as a threat. Fred finally admits to really liking Daphne, and taking her out on a date! The romantic group wins out on this board! ;D Good ep overall!
