I am so late with this, but better late than never lol! I finally got to watch this (thanks ahkyahnan)!
I liked the episode a lot. I would really like to see it have a theme song, and doo you may be right on with them not wanting to reveal too much. I liked the animation. So much better then Get a Clue! It was nice to see that they went back to what works and kept the whole gang together. I did notice that the Velma's skirt was awfully short in this episode. It seemed much shorter than normal. It was also funny that her parents dressed in all orange too.
I loved that their parents were in the episode. Of course, that means I have to add some new pictures to the family members page. It was odd that all the parents seemed rich and that Freddy's dad was completely different than in Pirate's Ahoy. Where was Freddy's mom though? And Scooby's parents weren't in it at all.
The one guy doing the tour looked a lot like Don Knots. I wonder if that was intentional. I loved the tour, and how they incorporated all the old villains. The reference to Vincent Van Ghoul was priceless lol! I'm not too sure how I feel about the whole Velma/Shaggy romance. It's really weird and for him to not want Scooby to know is so odd too. I think by now I'm used to Daphne and Freddy being together, but they took an odd turn with them in this series too.
Overall, I liked it a lot, and I am looking forward to seeing more episodes.

Glad you finally got to see it and enjoyed it. And that it worked! I was afraid it might lock up 1/2 way through or something. I'm looking forward to seeing more epidodes too.
I think the Don Knott's cameo was intentional...it just looked tooo much like him. I kept looking at the rest of the crowd to see if there were more. The woman asking the questions seemed familiar somehow, but couldn't place her character anywhere.

I loved everything about the episode I just wish they would put more Scooby in it, I don't want him to become a side character. I'm really really excited about it seeming to be linaer where the episodes link to one another and Shaggy/Velma

I finally saw it, I'm really late LOL. The animation was ok, guess it will just take some time for me to get used to. I liked seeing the parents, all of them, that was fun. I hope we get more ScoobyxShaggy team work up close. I love there friendship. VelmaxShaggy thing threw me off the loop, I was like holy crap where did that come from? I never saw any thing of ShaggyxVelma in any films or series at all. Maybe a few in Scooby-Doo Where Are You? But I thought those were just friendship things. Want to try some thing new? Go for a love triangle between FredxDaphxShaggy fans like ShaggyxDaph too yah know. Were there fans of VelmaxShaggy? Guess I haven't been looking in the right places >< I just hope Shaggy and Scooby's friendship don't get affected by this Velma romance thing. Am hopping he can be shared by both Scooby and Velma. And oh, I hope that's not the real opeaning, cuz I really didn't like it. I give it a 5/5.

I really hope they don't do a love triangle or go with the Daphne/ Shaggy thing.

So I just got around to watching the first episode yesterday and I must say, I`m very excited. I think it`s going to be a good series. Hoping to see more Scooby in it like you are all saying. But I guess they`re just trying to give like background information in the first episode. But all in all, should be a good series, I have my hopes up. lol

I'm currently watching this online so i can catch up on the channel that is currently showing this. Anyway, loving the Radio Ghoul segment. Everything about it screams 60's and the fact that the show is paying homage to the old scooby ways.

I'm rewatching the show, and thought about a review mostly my impression when I watched it for the first time. Long ago... Scoob16 got me into watching this series then, and I must say I 'm glad he did, I'm a fan of Scooby Doo now!! ;D So I was surprised by the animation. Completely different than it ever appeared in movies or series. Everything is sharp, clear and somehow geometrical... The series is darker, literally -shadowing- and metaphorically about the plot. Characters are grown and find their love interests, plus there's a sense the episode gives you, that you HAVE to watch all the series and that it's going to be awesome! ;D Didn't expect Velma do be so daring... Lol I wouldn't say she picked the right moment to try tell everyone though!

This was an awesome series. Arguably the second best ever behind Scooby Doo Where Are You. The key is the ongoing story arc which is thrilling and pulls you inIt is full of fun side characters and backstory. The original Mystery Inc along with Mayor Jones and Sheriff Stone are great. The Planispheric Disks are awesome and the chase for them is interesting. It is cool to see the gang's families and houses. I also love the town of Crystal Cove.

There were so many good things here which were spoilt by turning the series into a teen-angst soap opera with socially dysfunctional caricatures of the gang.
