So the next 2 compilation DVD's will each feature a brand new Scooby 'episode'.
The "Laff-A-Lympics: Spooky Games" DVD coming out Tuesday features the new episode "Spooky Games" which airs on TV the same day, and on October 16th "13 Spooky Tales: Holiday Chills & Thrills" comes out featuring another new episode "Haunted Holiday" which also airs on TV that same day.
Do you think this will be a new trend for Scooby-Doo DVD's? Producing a new 22 minute episode as a bonus feature rather than adding something from "Get A Clue" or whatever? Do you like the idea?
I'm also wondering whether "Spooky Games" will use the old-style animation like the "Laff-A-Lympics" episodes it's included with.

I love the idea. I think it's definitely the new trend, kind of like they were releasing a Get A Clue episode per DVD for a while.

I do think it is a new trend. I hope the next series they make (after SDMI) will be like these new episodes, with the animation style and such.

More Scooby Doo is always good, but these DVD releases are shocking: Spooky Games has been cropped to full frame, when it was clearly meant to be widescreen. I can't believe we are still getting cropped releases. Haunted Holiday has major video quality issues, since they stuffed 6 episodes on a DVD5 disc. Surely using DVD9 discs isn't that more expensive?
I can only hope future DVD releases will be much better, since recent cartoons from Warner Bros. usually look great on DVD.

I want them to get the unreleased episodes out, that covers what I want.
