Killing is just not nice: especially when that someone didn't do nothing to them. Shaggy is just so...inocent. what did he do eat all their food...

I actually voted no; I mean originally it seemed like it, but after watching the movie a few times and talking to other Scooby fans who like the movie and the two of them, I have to agree with the whole self defense.
I think they were good all the time, but once the Cat Creature influence took over, their goodness and kindness was all gone; they only had the cat creature abilites because they wanted revenge and wanted to destroy the pirates like they had destroyed Simone and Lena's friends and the other settlers.
For them it was pretty much a bad deal, so I don't think they necessarily were evil, I just think they made some bad decisions, and you shouldn't hold someone accountable(real or fictional) just because they made a bad decision(for the most part).
I wish they had done like a WNSD episode or something as a sequel and had the group go back to New Orleans, and then Simone and Lena would be able to explain their actions; I picture a sequel to Zombie Island, where the two of them and Jacques lure the gang back but turn them into cat creatures because they need Fred, Daphne and Velma's help to defeat the cat god because he wants to drain people's life forces because he wants to turn everyone into cat creature so he can take over the world or something like that.

Well, I guess their evil. But it's not exactly their fault. I'd say yes.

I think they were at heart good people. They tried to save what was left of their island from pirates and outside threats. However, I think once the threat was gone, it then became greed. They were greedy for eternal life and youthfulness. That greed is what caused them to turn bad. Draining souls is horrible. Especially when the original reason they did so in the first place is no longer valid.
