Cheaply animated, stories were far too contrived and in some cases just made no sense, special guests were just shoe-horned in without reason, the gang were at times dysfunctional (in one of the Fred, Velma and Daphne were on Shaggy and Scooby's case all the time for being cowards). They just get on my nerves (I'm getting old so I'm allowed to be cranky).

I always loved this show, so I'll give it an 8, but I think it was a bit repetitive at times.
From a creative standpoint, I don't think they took enough time to figure out how to properly modify the 'episode formula' to tell a good 1 hour story vs. a 1/2 hour.
They tended to just throw in another chase sequence or sometimes draw a scene out to fill the time. I think with more planning it could've been a great series. I still like it though.

Mark I think "The Ghost of the Red Baron" was a really repetitive episode.

After reading a bunch of different opinion based/ rate your favorite/worst threads on here tonight, I think it's safe to say that Admin DOO and I have the complete opposite in taste in how we like our Scooby Doo. But that's more than ok because it shows how widely appealing Scooby is to all types.
So, yeah...I rate the New Scooby Movies pretty low for pretty much the same reasons Russm listed at the top of this page. Some episodes I enjoy because of fondness for the guest star (Batman, Addams Family, Jose & the Pussycats, speed buggy)...but they really aren't "good". A lot of the episodes seem to drag too.

The best part about it is that we can all have different opinions and still get along. I'm really happy that everyone here respects each others opinions and doesn't bash anyone for the way they feel. Thanks to all of you!

I don't think this show holds up as well, mainly due to the hour long format and the fact that they only had the budget for a 22 minute episode. There are a few gods episodes in here, mainly The Addams Faimly and Batman ones.

I thought I had a post here, but, nevermind. Yes, I rate it just as high as SDWAY but it's different. The sad thing is not being able to buy alot of episodes due to licensing. We've lost Johnathan Winters now, Jerry Reed, Sonny, Davey Jones, you'd think WB could go get these licenses done.
