Russm, thanks for the insight into how you write. It's interesting to hear you don't write from start to finish. I can see how that would make it better because you don't always think of things in that fashion. It is a pain though, I had a nice ending for one story 'The Day of the Daphne' when I realised I have written myself into a corner and couldn't do what i have wanted to do without pulling already published chapters so had to come up with plan B, the day after publishing plan B I came up with a solution which would have worked with what was already there. We now pause to remember the number of commas and apostrophes that were traumatized in the process at the beginning (three cheers for MS Word and its grammar checker).

I always find that I think of things like that after the fact. I don't write much, but when I have conversations with people, I always thing later how I could have said something differently.

It's an okay incarnation of Scooby. I don't like that it was so "modernized", and the characters looked a bit weird with their new designs at times. The chase songs were terrible though, with the exception of "Petrified Bride" by The Hex Girls. It had it's moments, and I did enjoy it for what it was. It pales in comparison to HB's Scooby era though. I just wish Heather North and Nicole Jaffe had returned for this series instead of being replaced, as they would have brought a lot to the series and their characters. Mindy was tolerable, but I really couldn't stand Grey for the most part.

It had some glaring flaws (the "innocent-motive" villains, too many robotic villains, forced chase songs, in many cases subpar monster design, did they really have to take Fred's ascot away? etc) but overall a nice throwback to the original WAY in some ways.

They were a lot more towards the style of music i'm into, obviously seeing as Simple Plan preformed two of the chase songs and that is my favorite band which i've probably stated a ton on this forum haha. I also really like the one that goes "It's a rad rad world and a mad mad town", as most of the forum has probably noticed as well is rad is one of my favorite adjectives for some reason haha.

This is kind of a unpopular opinion but WNSD was my favorite Scooby series. The episodes had tons of things I myself are interested in (Greek Mythology, Egypt, Pompeii, etc), call me a history and mythology geek if you like (Thanks Rick Riordan.) The animation was a lot more crisp and clear to me which I like a lot so it makes my life easier being a person who has to wear glasses forever probably. They had some interesting villains like Rufus Raucous, The San Franphysco, and the Leland Brothers. As I've mentioned I happen to really enjoy the chase music as well. The recurring characters like Gibby and Elliot were great for comedy, poor Elliot could never win. Some of the voices could have been better. As much as I love Grey DeLisle, I feel like characters such Daphne are not her style. I feel like she voices characters such as Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender a lot better than she voices girly girls. The bad chicks are more her style more than the sweet and innocent ones. Other then that I feel like a lot of effort was put into this series and it paid off in my opinion.
