I'd use a real Great Dane as Scooby.

Since they have been doing films based off of episodes, I'd do a film on shaggy and Scooby being hypnotized or controlled by some one, it was one of my favorite episodes from the Scooby doo show. Or one on shaggy and Scooby framed or one on how Shaggy and scooby's friendship from when shaggy first got him to now.

I would like to make one where Shaggy and the gang come across the mirror from Ghoul School, the one where the monster switches places with shaggy. I would like for the group to be sucked into the mirror, into an alternate world. There of course is a villain to stop, but because this is a "mirrored" world, defeating the villain there, would actually unleash evil here. The mystery I guess would be the people, creatures, whatever in that world try to fool Mystery Inc into disrupting the realities enough that they can cross over into our world. I know that would take some time to get tight though, it could get really confusing.
Also, would love to do one where Velma becomes a professor at a university and the group takes on a new member, maybe even Marcy?

A haunted bowling alley sounds like a fun idea. Has that been done yet?

First, a badly put together teaser trailer
Scene 1 Daphne indoors, sitting on a couch, hunched over her laptop, she’s just about to speak when the front door openes and Fred walked in. “Hey Daph, I’ve…” He’s cut off when Daphne turns and glowers at him. “Freddie! Turn your phone on, I’ve been trying to contact you. Get to the museum now, Velma’s in danger!”
Scene 2 Velma sitting in a hospital bed, a panicky look on her face, pushing herself further up the bed like she is trying to get away from something. “Jinkies, you mean I’m going to have to wear a dress!?”
Scene 3 Daphne and Velma standing together, both are in elegant dresses, Velma puts an oxygen mask to her face and breathes deeply; Daphne rolls her eyes and pretends she’s not there.
Scene 4 A montage of Fred doing his thing, hunched over a sewing machine sewing, assembling a metal frame. Scenes of him welding, sewing, cutting, planning while in the background images of blueprints float past.
Scene 5 A giant four armed monster crashes through a wall at a party, people scatter, Velma collapses after running a few steps, monster stalks towards her. He stops when a Champagne bottle bounces off his head, the monster rors angrily and scoops an unconscious Velma up into his arms.
Scene 6 Shaggy and Scooby standing aside to let someone else get to a buffet table. "Like, after you." "Reah, ree ry rest."
Scene 7 Daphne, dressed in a Splinter Cell SpecOps outfit, creeping through undergrowth, spying on a pair of figures who are walking together in the shadows.
Scene 8 Daphne, wearing a flowing dress, running for her life though a wood while bullets whistle past her.
Scene 9 A shadowy caped figure wielding a sword following the gang.
Scene 10 Fred grabbed from behind and pulled into the shadows, a female hand pressed over his mouth, a Germanic voice whispers from the shadows "don't make a noise if you wish to live."
Scene 11 The gang sitting together in the front row of an auditorium, all wearing formal attire. Lights dim "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your hosts for this evening, Penelope Pitstop and Sylvester Sneekly!"
Scooby Doo! Award Winner!
All the gang are award nominees at this years Damsel of the Year awards. The hosts for this year's event are none other than Penelope Pitstop and Sylvester Sneekly. All is going well till the event is gatecrashed by a giant four armed monster. It's up to the gang to save the day but temptations and distractions abound can Fred to keep everyone on target or will this be one mystery that slips through their fingers?

If I were to re-create one of the movies, I would go with Reluctant Werewolf. I think it presented a nice idea, and you know exactly what I'm talking about; it's why you bought the movie in the first place. Shaggy becoming a werewolf is a great idea for a film, and it doesn't get enough time to shine well because of the wacky-races part. The movie could be re-worked and instead be focused on Shaggy and how becoming a monster changes him. It'd be a great opportunity to get behind the mind of Shag, and making him a monster would be the best conflict for a character driven movie. Reluctant Wereowolf could be great, and all you'd have to do is remove all the parts that make no sense. Get rid of the racing stuff, remove most of the monster stuff, get rid of Googie, and put Scrappy in the borderline bucket until you find a use for him. Now you've got a real movie.
It instead starts with Shaggy and Scooby watching a horror film at home like they do originally. The two get scared by the movie, but afterwards laugh at eachother which establishes the characters well. Then, Shaggy brings up the drive in movie and the two decide they'll see that the following night (which makes sense, the movies are very similar so it could be a sequel) At the movies, the moon beam strikes Shaggy (maybe on accident as to remove the hunch bunch) and now do the rear-view-mirror scene, which is what scares shaggy out of growling (instead of Googie scolding him) Shaggy drives home (successfully skipping the stupid yelling scene) in a panic and when they arrive back home Shaggy contemplates what he is to do about what's happened to him. Because Shag is such a horror movie geek, he probobly owns the Grimness Book of Records and figures out he was destined to be a werewolf; which could lead him to Drac's where he strikes a deal to get him out of this issue. Not sure about this part, just don't do the race portion for the love of god. Maybe Glenn Leopold could re-do Ghoul School and just tag this to the front of it. Werewolf Shaggy teaching monsters makes more sense than Shag misreading the job offer anyway, and it could be good because Leopold did Zombie Island so you know he's learned from his mistakes. After Shag has taught at the monster school, he learns not to be scared so much and it could end with a lesson about treating other people fairly regardless of how they look. Honestly that's what you should learn from Shaggy in general, he's best friends with a dog.
